Intentions.

In order to answer the question of "for love or for money?" We have to ask ourselves our intentions for context in this question. Are we trying to compare the two in retrospect to happiness or success? To understand what this question equates to you first must ask what you are using love or money for. In most cases people think of love as finding a significant other whom is perfect for them. When all the stars align you find this special romantic relationship. On the other hand when people think money, they think about mansions and expensive cars. Having everything of which can be bought with money that you could ever ask for. This is the generalization of the definition of "Love and money" When making this comparison. We shall take both extremes and move further to talk about the concept of each term.

For money.

When we are talking about money, I would like to talk about it in the sense of creation of happiness. In American society we require a certain amount of money for survival. This is why we have a system set up in the way that we do. We generally need money to shelter ourselves, eat, drink, care for, and for our entertainment. Not to say that some of these things cant come for free, I am just speaking in a general sense. We need money for basic survival. I recently read a statistic that on average peoples happiness, money does have an influence up to a certain point. After making an annual sum of around $80,000, happiness is no longer affected. Any money made above $80,000 does not add to a humans happiness on a general level. In fact, statistically speaking, humans with large amounts of wealth are generally less happy. So when talking about money we must understand that it only scientifically brings happiness to a certain point, YET if you fall below a certain point you are also more potentially for struggle. Thus making happiness harder to come by. It seems theres a sweet spot to sit at when it comes to making money and equating it to happiness.

For love.

Love is naturally woven into the human mind. Most humans are shown love early in their lives. After they grow into adults they find a romantic kind of love. The type of love that humans crave the most. I personally believe that love is necessary for happiness. Love in the form of friendship. Love for a significant other. Love for an animal or pet. Love for the world itself. These things are positive and will also scientifically bring happiness to your life. Science can tell us a lot about love.

The Science Of Love
There are three phases to falling in love and different hormones are involved at each stage.
Events occurring in the brain when we are in love have similarities with mental illness.
When we are attracted to somebody, it could be because subconsciously we like their genes.
Smell could be as important as looks when it comes to the fanciability factor. We like the look and smell of people who are most like our parents.
Science can help determine whether a relationship will last.
One thing is certain. Love is a human process of which is natural and craved by all humans. We desire love and affection therefore it creates happiness when we have these things(or even the emulation of these things).

Maintain a proper balance and you will find happiness.

All in all in my mind love will always win in terms of happiness. Although money is needed for a certainly amount of comfort, we can still find comfort with ZERO hope if we only have love. We do require a certain balance between the two in American society today and because we need money for survival we have to keep that in play when it comes to happiness. To balance love and money is very simple. Time management is something humans have a huge struggle with. We feel we dont have time for both but we do. If we manage our time properly we can accomplish great things when talking about love and money. So dont let one or the other take over. Maintain a proper balance and you will find happiness.
