True, but I imagine there could be one upside to this; with so many males, females can now be more choosy about their mates. With a larger male population (assuming that all the males are reproductively capable), the females will be able to pick the males with the best possible genes. It may not do much for their numbers but some sexual selection may be beneficial for the species.
