Nikola Tesla puts herself in the Olympics of scientists and inventors, one of the greatest inventors of all time. He emigrated to the United States in 1884 and there he registered 200 patents throughout his life, never received merit, fame, and earnings he deserved, yet predicted some of the technologies that have revolutionized the world to this day. Here's 5 of the striking visions he has anticipated.*

Wi-fi.

While Guglielmo Marconi sent letter-coded alphabets through the Atlantic in 1901, Tesla went farther. He tried to transport through the atmosphere the electric current, like the radio waves, predicted that one day it would be possible to transmit telephone signals, documents, music and movies all over the world thanks to a wireless cable we call wireless. Its prediction was made in the 1990's through the Internet and even earlier with mobile phones

Smart phones and vision of utopia.

During an interview in 1926 in Collier's magazine, he told a way where shortening of the distance would be possible thanks to a pocket-sized object that was very similar to smartphones. "When the cordless phone will be fully applicable," he said, "the earth will be transformed into a giant brain, all things will be part of a real and pulsating one. We will be able to communicate with each other instantly regardless of distance. By television and phone we will see and hear if we are facing even though we can be thousands of miles away. Instruments that will enable us will be very simple compared to the phone we use today. A man will be able to hold them in his pocket. "

Female Emancipation.

In the same interview titled "When Choosing a Woman" was talked about so that wireless technologies could help women to have better education, work, and even become dominant sex. In 1901, he started the Wardenclyffe tower program in Long Island, where he transmitted energy in the form of electromagnetic waves and wanted to send light miles away. Shortly before the project the inventor J.P. Morgan retired. In 1917 the tower collapsed to receive and recycle materials and metals.
