Can our thoughts really affect water?

"Science and science fiction are essentially the same" - William Shatner

Isn't it incredible to think that our thoughts could be powerful enough to affect the shape and colour of water at a microscopic level. This is a theory from Dr. Masaru Emoto (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masaru_Emoto) and it's simply fascinating that there's a possibility that such emotions and I guess energies of sorts could be transferred beyond the realm of our own bodies. I'm still very early into my research with this topic of 'water energies' and if you view his videos you'll find pictures of the different shapes formed from ice crystals, where merely words have been directed at them, positive and negative.

To think that the world's land mass is covered with 71% water, our bodies hold between 50-75% of water, according to the bible the heavens are made of water, just think what opportunities we're missing out on here. If we can control water with our thoughts generated from a brain whose pistons are pumping at between 2-100% capacity - depending on where you're sourcing your information, just do the maths and we could really change things around here if we all came together, even re-shape Antartica if we gave it our all. ;-)

There is a claim to debunking such a theory and this was carried out by Scientist Thomas Sheahen and he's argued that there is no evidence to prove the 'water energies' theory and has made his case here;

Another biochemist and Director of Microscopy at University College Cork William Reville wrote, "It is very unlikely that there is any reality behind Emoto's claims.", saying if anyone were to prove such a theory they'd be millionaires by now and be very famous. There are a number videos on YouTube showing experiments being carried out which adds weight to Dr Emoto's theory. It is a bit of a flatearther for me, pseudo science until I can independently carry out the test under the right circumstances.

I don't know enough to say either way, but there is something about this that stokes my curiosity and the subject certainly warrants further investigation and as Mr Shatner's asks..... "How do you know?"

To be continued...

Interesting indeed! Of course through history all science is "Science Fiction" until someone made it reality! Example, the self lacing shoes that the Doc gives Marty in "Back to the Future 2" were science fiction until a couple years ago when someone actually made a pair! Upvoted!

Thanks for the response and it is interesting indeed. The witches of yesterday are the scientists of today and that's the way we've always been. Good example wth Marty and his magic boots. I'll trump you by saying "Followed" and I look forward to sharing more thoughts with you in the future.

Awesome! I meant to hit follow earlier. Did it now! Looking forward to future conversations, bud!

Likewise mate. :-)

You are right our thoughts not only affect water .. they affect everything.. quantum physics has proven this without a doubt ... a wave turning into a particle when it is observed. .

Thanks for the response Rebecca and I'm only just getting into quantum science. I get the whole dimensional aspect to it but there is so much I don't know, nor understand, but I'm excited about this journey of knowledge. I've followed you and I'm sure we'll share some thoughts again in the near future. :-)

check out Dr Joe Dispenza ... you may already know of him. I am currently reading a book by him. I will follow you and see what you are up too. :)

I do not know of him, but I do now thanks to you. I'm on it and and I'll check him out and his work. Thanks for the follow Rebecca. :-)

yeah, Masaru Emoto wrote a lot about that, molecular structure is really changing but its not as simple as it looks, I mean that positive/negative aspect of it... anyway nice article. Upvote!

I agree, further research needs to carried out and many thanks for the Upvote. :-)

"It is very unlikely that there is any reality behind Emoto's claims."

There is no reality behind it says this PhD holding biochemist. Our thoughts can not effect water.

yeah and placebo effect are pseudo science.. beliefs are powerless!
lol
:-)
namaste!

One of those things involves your body (the placebo effect) which is neurologically connected to your brain. The other involves ... MAGIC. Your brain effecting water. How in heavens do you think those two things are related?

energy and vibration! the transfer of energy ,you do not need power cords, ie. wi-fi, microwave...
man does not know everything ,actually pretty narrow grasp of reality and what is yet to be discovered..
sorry it is not scientifically proved...yet!

Oh brother. SMH

no hate here! sorry if we disagree... I am sure we can find common ground!...I admit I make mistakes! and all I can do is keep an open mind!...the more I learn the more questions I have!
I do not want to fight ,
I want to learn, and share facts, and knowledge!...to discuss opinions and solve problems! that is not hate! that is love!
namaste!
