Researchers suggest that birds have the ability to regenerate fine hairs within their ears. These fine hairs are responsible for picking up sounds.

A Barn Owl typically resides along forested coastal areas (dark blue) but has been observed inland too (light blue).

The owls weren't sent to heavy metal concerts as part of the study so I don't know how valid it is...
I was thinking the same thing. Like I bet Owls don't wear eye plugs all day listening to rock music.
