Not sure If I would call it an unpopular opinion. Despite being able to score really high on IQ tests consistently, I've always felt that they were a bit flimsy and very much contextual.
For sure IQ only measures some fairly specific set of skills. But nobody can't argue against direct correlation. On more demanding professions people with high IQ do much better and people with lower IQ are not competitive at all.
