I am going to define the terms related to digestion of food that are 

1) Ingestion 2)Digestion 3)Absorption 4)Assimilation 5)Defecation

• INGESTION:

The process of taking in food in living organism is called ingestion

• DIGESTION:

The breakdown of ingested food from complex substances to smaller substances.

• ABSORPTION:

The diffusion of smaller substances of digested food in to blood or body fluid i.e lymph

• ASSIMILATION:

In assimilation the absorbed simpler substances of food changes to complex substances that make the body strucure.

• DEFECATION:

Removal of undigested food from the body is called defecation.
