New Phising scam on steemit
So I was looking thru my feed and saw this post
And there was a comment "I notice that your post has been copied without your permission" and an off site goo link. When you click it it's a steemit clone site that asks for your password, if you log in you are fucked, they clean out your account and use it to try and lure others. The first thing that set off alarm bells for me was the post was like 2 minutes old. How did someone copy the post and a good Samaritan found it, all in 2 minutes?
It's a good scam, no one wants their work copied by others, it's easy to fall for. The guy who left the link had over a 100 steem stolen, he regained control of his account but the damage was done. A lot of people don't look where they are, and this site uses steemit.tk.com which you might not notice is NOT steemit. Once I've logged in, I NEVER log in again unless its for the wallet. This isn't like getting your facebook hacked, this is money.
These assholes are all over Steemit trying this one, thanks to user @quarantine for being fast to get the word out. Be careful they can have all your liquid steem and SBD in seconds, keep as much steem powered up as you can.....
..with this (and paid bots imo) - it seems like the capthca system may be a good direction to go...
I wish STEEMIT had an option for 2FA
