Sunday School thoughts: No one has your back.

in #sc5 years ago

When we approve of ourselves, rather than always seeking approval of others, we find happiness.

We often hear people tell us, 'they got our backs and will be there for us when we need them,' and those words plays out like good music to our ears because, we live in a world where we always want to believe that, someone has our backs.

...and the truth has to be told, right?

Well, as much as I will like to tell you it is true and that you should go around feeling that way, I just have to burst your bubble; It is a lie and one big lie that will continually be told us so the world continues to live as is and as should be.

Yes, no one has your back and no one will. Anyone who is in your life having your back is there for a reason and when that reason is fulfilled, they take a careful walk and bow out completely from your life.

Have a sense of being the man who is supposed to be having someone's back and ask yourself who then will be having your own back? *It is hard to be responsible for others because, the good guys mostly do it and forget that we also need to be catered for.

Through history, we have come to know how the greatest betrayals where done by those closest to the mark. I will just use the story of our Savior, Jesus Christ as an example and hope we get to see that, that word, I git your back can be very dicey a word.

I Feel Blessed!

When we approve of ourselves, rather than always seeking approval of others, we find happiness.

A betrayal and a denial all from the same camp.

The story of the betrayal of Jesus Christ by Judas Iscariot is something I first got to know in Sunday school as a you g child growing up. It was one of the major lessons that was taught over an over again and it just got stuck in my head. When I watched the movie after being taught the story, I got a clear picture.

Judas Iscariot.

Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot one of his disciples and friends. He was so close to the Lord that, he went everywhere with Him, was responsible for His finances and even ate on the same table with Him.
Somehow, those familiarity that was supposed to be the bond that should foster a strong kind of love later was exploited and used against Him.

The first time I got to thinking about how that happened, I kept asking myself WHY? Why would a disciple of the lord betray Him and hand him to the wicked men who sought to take his life?
So many whys, but then, it became clear that, it happened and so well because, he was a disciple and close friend and I am sure he once told the Lord, "I gat your back."

Peter turned tail.

Peter, another very serious and faithful disciple of Christ, denied him at the time when he shouldn't have. For good reason some will say because, if he hadn't denied, he probably would have been maimed by an angry mob.

Well, the story here is that, he betrayed Jesus Christ who told him before time, but he went on to assure the Lord that, "he will never do that." He didn't just do it, he did it three times.

Why would Peter, who used a sword to severe the ear of one of the High Priest's guards at Gethsemane deny the same person?
The pressure must have been so much when he denied the Lord at the inn because, he may have realized that, this was serious.

Life lessons.

I Just think we mostly show others in and around our lives that, they are important and play such important roles that, we may not be able to do without them.
We are a specie created with some synergistic traits that ties us to one another from here to a billion miles away, but then, we still cannot be seen as being completely dependent on any one person for everything.

Learn not to throw yourself into someone else's court and be at their mercy and control. The universe operates differently for us and we are stringed together or apart when need be.

No on has your back and you have to know that. You must have a plan on how your life will and should be.
Expecting someone to be there for you is never a good path to follow and you will end up as half the man you were before you started.

When we approve of ourselves, rather than always seeking approval of others, we find happiness.

Final words.

No on has your back and no one will. You are your own support system and should learn to put your HOPE and FAITH completely on God while working in your own way to ensure you are not at a man's mercy.

If God be for you, no one can be against you, but you must be sure to believe first in yourself. Approve of yourself in Faith and be Hopeful.

Make the world a better place for someone today!
