BLOG#13: STEEMCHURCH VENEZUELA-ACTIVATING BREAD FROM HEAVEN IN BARCELONA ANZOATEGUI.

In the implementation of the children's dining room "Bread From Heaven" this week, we prepared a traditional Venezuelan meal such as corn arepa, stuffed with meat and cheese.
Properties of Arepas
The arepas are a food that is included in the category of cereals. A single serving of arepas (we consider as a 1 piece ration, that is, 98 grams of arepas) contains approximately 215 calories.
If we compare it with other cereals, the arepas are less caloric than the average cereals, since they contain 219 calories per 100 grams, while other foods such as flax seeds (534 cal), rice crackers (387 cal) , Corn Pancakes (387 cal) have many more calories.
The arepa is the queen of Venezuelan breakfasts, and at the same time an excellent companion of first courses in lunches and dinners, the key to lose weight is not to make diets, but to discover how to make food work as medicines to accelerate the metabolism and control the levels of anxiety. Regarding Carbohydrates says that those who should be consumed are those who raise less sugar, however many people believe that cassava is good when this is the worst of all because cassava is the food that increases the sugar in the blood, while the corn arepa is the best option.
Today we share a recipe for our filled arepa.
Ingredients:
500 grams of corn flour
500 milliliters of water
1 teaspoon salt
Meat, cheese, for filling
Steps to follow to make this recipe:
1.-Before making the Venezuelan arepas, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
2.-In a bowl of water, add the teaspoon of salt and dissolve very well, mix with the corn flour to form a homogeneous mass.
3.-Form medium balls and let stand a few minutes the dough.
4.-Shape the balls until they form a slightly thick arepa, take it to a grill and cook on both sides over low heat until golden brown.
5.-Open the arepas and fill is the last step, you can make the filling of your choice.
Children love this food.
It is not only the food, but also the love and time that these people dedicate to the children, in recreating them with essential values, practicing good constumbres through the example of Jesus.
