GOD WISHES THAT WE ASK

in #sc-v6 years ago

There are different types of prayer; Among them, the petition or appeal. You could ask yourself why ask God, if He knows your needs; And there are those who say that prayer should be a moment of communion, adoration and submission to the will of God, and that there is no space to ask. But, on multiple occasions, the Word tells us how to ask.

Source

"7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to the one who calls, it will be opened to him. 9 What man is there of you, that if his son asks for bread, he will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? "Matthew 7: 7-11

God also gives us in the spiritual sense, but here he says that He is going to give things; That is, you can ask for things, and He will give you good things. And he goes on saying: 12 So, whatever you want men to do to you, do you also to them; because this is the law and the prophets. It seems to have no relation; He talks to you about asking, and then he reminds you that whatever you want God to do for you, you do it for others. It's the balance of asking for things. You can not ask for something that you are not willing to do for another.

Matthew 21:22 says: And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Another verse that tells you: Dare to ask. Mark 14: 35-36 says: Going forward a little, he fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, that hour would pass from him. And he said: Abba, Father, all things are possible for you; remove this cup from me; but not what I want, but what you. Jesus himself asked for things that the Father told him not; The answer was no, but he dared to ask for them. Maybe the answer is no, but you have to dare to ask. And if he says yes?

Philippians 4: 6-7 says: Be anxious for nothing, but let your requests be made known to God in all prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. One of the cures for the eagerness is to ask; Who is in eagerness, is because he has not asked; When you do it, peace comes to you that surpasses all understanding. Do you mean that God is going to give you everything as you asked? Not necessarily. Jesus asked to be delivered from the cross, and they said no; But, when he dared to ask and received a no for an answer, he also received the peace that surpasses all understanding. If God answers you when you ask and discharge your anxiety in Him, and you understand why the answer is no, there comes into your life the peace that surpasses all understanding, that keeps your heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

1 John 5: 14-15 shows us the importance of asking: And this is the confidence we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have made. In the Old Testament, many verses say: Invócame, ask me, cry to me, I will answer you. In multiple instances, we are urged to ask. Destroy today in your thoughts the religious mind of guilt, that God is not to ask anything, who you are to ask God. Throughout the entire Bible, we are exhorted to ask and know how to do it. The Our Father is a whole request. "Come your kingdom", is not that a request? "Thy will be done", "our daily bread, give it to us today"; He is not speaking of spiritual bread, but of provision; In the Our Father, you ask for his kingdom and what to eat; It is request after request. "Forgive our offenses," another request. "Lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil." In this prayer, there are spiritual, emotional, physical requests, but it is requested.

The Lord taught it. If he is going to take care of you, why ask him for bread? Why do you have to ask? For not falling into temptation, for provision, for forgiveness. You have to ask; and if he says no, it's because there is something else in his will. If Jesus dared to ask not to go to the cross, when he knew that he was born for that, do you think that God is going to condemn you because you ask for a car or leave a problem? You have to dare to ask him. Of course, there is the aspect of knowing the will of God, but sometimes you will not know it until you ask; You ask, and then he says no, you know it's not his will, and then you have peace, you take that out of your head, and you move into the plan for your life.

If you do not ask, the automatic answer is no. And if you ask, they may say no, but they may say yes. And until you ask, you will not know; You have to dare to ask inside your prayer.

Very good reflection @darlenys01. We must ask, but know how to ask our father that he will surely give us for good.

Jesus, our Teacher, teaches us the art of prayer. On one occasion, he said: "The heavenly Father knows what they need before they ask him to do so" (Mt 6, 9). If the Father already knows, what is the point of our petition? The answers of the Fathers and of the saints are consoling: God does not want to do anything without our participation, because he loves to act with Him.

Among other things, God established prayer because through it we recognize him as the only source and providence of all that we need. Undoubtedly, it is a perfect love plan to stay in communion with your children. Do not you think ?.

Jesus assures us that he is aware of what we need, but he tells us that we should ask him in prayer. God has established through her the divine formula to release her blessings on her children.

It would be very easy for him to give us what we need. Everything belongs to him. The universe is at your command. It would be very easy to give us everything we need without having to wait for us to ask for it. But that is not how it was structured.
God loves us, and his greatest desire is to have intimacy with us.

We must ask with faith, and we will see the answers of the Lord.

Prayer opens the door of the treasures of the Kingdom of God. It is a key that the Creator has placed in our hands and invites us to use. Prayer is the channel through which God's provision to us flows.

God wants the one who seeks him to know that he is a rewarder.

Praying is much more than a bunch of words interspersed between "My God" and "Amen." Prayer is the spiritual entrance to reach your presence and experience the love experience you have planned to have with you and me.

When we ask, he then listens to our asking, then he measures our growth through the asking! Some grow ups are still asking for candies 🍭 . It’s sad!

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4 (KJV)

The instruction from Christ is to seek the kingdom and righteousness and what we need shall be added.

He taught them how to pray because they’re babies, many things he didn’t tell them then because they’d not understand.

Bottom line

We our asking comes as a result of our growth and God expects we grow into sons to the measure of status of Christ in depth width height etc.

Thanks for communicating!
