Worship; A Lifestyle of Holiness

Many at times, we misunderstand the meaning of the word "Worship". Some of us take worship as just a mere song, some take it as a mood, some thinks it's a sober feeling or it's just a slow song, but Worship goes way beyond all these.

Worship comes from the heart, the heart is the origin of a true Worship. It could be an act of showing gratitude to God.

Webster dictionary has defined worship as a honor with extravagant love and extreme submission.

Yes we honor God and we are submissive to his commandments but yet, Worship still goes beyond that.
A true Worship is a heartfelt expression displayed through a lifestyle of Holiness.

Isiah 29:13-14 (The message version)
The Master said:
These people make a big show of saying the right thing but their hearts aren't in it.
Because they act like they are worshiping me but don't mean it,
I’m going to step in and shock them awake, astonish them, stand them on their ears.
The wise ones who had it all figured out will be exposed as fools.
The smart people who thought they knew everything will turn out to know nothing.

Most times, we tend to sing the worship songs alone, not putting our hearts in it. As we have read in the passage above, we have seen that Worship goes beyond just singing but expressing our heats in gratitude to God

John 4:24 (The Message version)
God is sheer being itself-Spirit. Those who worship Him must do it out of their very being, their Spirits, their true selves, in adoration.

This passage still talks about how we should acknowledge God and Worship Him from our Spirit, from our hearts, making worship a lifestyle, something we can do at anytime and anywhere. We don't have to be in a particular place, be on a particular dress or be in a particular mood before we can Worship God. Let's make Worship part of our daily life.
