IMPACTING YOUR GENERATION
Psalm 71:18 - Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come. KJV.
There is no greater gift than thinking that you had some impact on the world, for better. Words cannot adequately convey the incredible impacts of our attitudes towards life. The younger I live, the more convinced I become that life is 10% percent of what happens to us and 90% percent shows how we respond to it as quoted by Charles R. Swindoll.
1 Peter 2:9 buttress it and says that ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Therefore, as youths and ambassadors of Christ and His word, it’s time to show the world that, together we can impact, our generation positively with strategic evangelism.
As a Christian brother/sister, know that it is your responsibility to impact your generation. Standout to be different and don’t give room to failure. If you stay true to your vision, and values, you can power through and impact on modern lives.
Notwithstanding, some are blissfully unaware of the negative impact they have on those around them, and others seems to drive satisfaction from creating chaos and pushing other peoples buttons.
As youths, let’s look forward to what we can do so as to touch lives for good and not what we will receive. At this juncture, I want to say that, human wellbeing is not a random phenomenon as to vain philosophy ravaging the world (be not deceived) – Colossians 2:8. It depends on many factors – ranging from genetics and neurobiology. But clearly, there are scientific truths to be known about how we can flourish and as well impact on our world positively. Wherever we can have an impact on wellbeing of others, question of morality apply.
Being a Christian youth is not a title or designation. It’s all about impact, influence and inspiration. Impacting positively involves getting positive results and influence; it’s all about spreading the passion you have for God’s work.
At this point, I therefore urge you to know that a positive mind creates a positive attitude, this is possible for all. The key resides in you, yes I mean you. Why not take the challenge to impact on your generation. You do not have anything to loose. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts and outcomes. It is a catalyst and of-sparks extraordinary results.
I charge you to show deep sympathy towards others because when you do, their defensive energy will go down and positive energy will replace it as quoted by Stephen Covey. That is when you can be creative in solving problems.
Arise and shine for your light has come, stand out to be different and be ready because the time is here. As you go out to impact your generation, say this to yourself,
