So choosing horses on a bus from Granada to Malaga in the crispy Spanish dawn failed to produce the required results. One place out of the three selections on day 5 once again failed to produce a return on my ever ballooning investment.

This morning I am using the classic ‘laying in bed with a cup of tea at your Mum’s house’ tactic in order to pick out three sure fire winners. The days first selection at Ludlow breaks my golden 5/1 rule but it looks a really open race with no clear favourite and the champ (Richard Johnson) sits proudly aboard the beast. The other two picks fit the parameters lovely, both are nicely handicapped types with great each way shouts!

I’m feeling good that my luck will finally turn around today.... at the very least I know there is bacon in the fridge and proper milk in my tea.
