Most major European leagues have finished, some still have one round left before it ends. So we can prepare ourselves for the World Cup Football!
Exactly one month from now, the world cup starts. So time for a contest!

This contest would not have been possible without the sponsoring of the Steemit Betting Community (@sbcbot) and @stimp1024! With the help of these 2 partners the prize pool is 60 SBD!

The contest

The contest has been setup in such a way, the even people without in-depth football knowledge do have a chance! It also doesn't require that you have to fill in score during he complete world cup.

The rules

• Only entry per steem account!

• Each contender have to pick 12 countries, from each pot (used during the draw of the world cup) 3 teams need to be picked.
  

• Each country may be only picked once by the contender, so it is not allowed, to choise Brazil 3 times from pot 1!

• Every country has to be given a coefficient between 1 and 12, where each coefficient may only be used once!

• Points:
  -- For every game a country wins (in regular time) they will be awarded 3 points
  -- For every game a country draws (after regular time) they will be awarded 1 point
  -- For every goals the team scores during the regular time, they will be awarded 1 points (Goals made during the extra time do not count)
  -- For instance: Brazil – France: 3 -1. Brazil will get 6 points (3 for the win and 3 for the 3 goals), France will get 1 point (1 for the goal scored)

• The points will be multiplied with the coefficient.
  Assume that Brazil would have a coefficient of 6 and France of 12, the Brazil will have 6 times 6 = 36 points, France will get 1 times 12 = 12 points

• The contender with the highest number of points at the end of the World Cup, will be the winner!

• To eliminate to possibility of a tie between 2 contenders, there also will be 4 extra questions to be filled in:
  ** Total number of goals during the first match day
  ** Total number of goals during the second match day
  ** Total number of goals during the third match day
  ** Total number of goals during the complete tournament (only the ones used for the calculation, so goals in extra time will not count)

Prize pool:

Main competition (40 SBD)

• 1ste place -> 16 SBD
• Second place -> 10 SBD
• Third place -> 7 SBD
• Fourth place -> 4 SBD
• Fifth place -> 2 SBD
• Sixt place -> 1 SBD

Round Robin Rounds (9 SBD)

• Best score first round: 2 SBD, Second best score first round: 1 SBD
• Best score second round: 2 SBD, Second best score second round: 1 SBD
• Best score third round: 2 SBD, Second best score third round: 1 SBD

SBC Members (6 SBD):

• First SBC member : 3 SBD
• Second SBC member: 2 SBD
• Third SBC member: 1 SBD

Lucky number 25 (5 SBD)

The number 25 in the overall competition will receive 5 SBD. This number is based on both the birthdays of my sons! I also sponsor the Lucky 25 in @abh12345 engagement league. If you are not participating in this league yet, don’t hesitate to do it!

Registration requirements:

• In the first registration phase the number of participants is limited to 100 participants. White listed SBD members, will always get a spot in the competition, regardless of the already subscribed participants
• Minimal reputation requirement is 30! SBC members are excluded from this requirement! If you do feel that you are a genuine Steemian but doesn't reach the reputation requirement drop me a comment and I will let you know if you are able to register!
• Upvoting is not required to participated in the contest, but is very much appreciated. The pay-out of these registration posts could increase the Prize Pool!
• There is one and only one Jury member, which is me! If there are disputes they will be discussed by the SBC community!
• I will upvote each registration if it was registered successfully.
• Registration comments should be done as follows:
  • 'country name in English' - 'coefficient' (12 times) (For instance: France - 12)
  • Number of goals during the regular time of the world cup: xx
• Registration will close when 100 participants have entered or on Saturday 9th of June!
• Cheaters will be excluded! Just like double accounts and so on!

I will update the participants list frequently until the start of the world cup.
During the world cup, I will posts the standing as much as possible!
