MY OUTDOOR GROW #4
Hi steemians! So first I would like to dedicate this post to @phoenixwren. He likes bee butts and i can’t lie I do too! He came up with a contest to plant a bee friendly garden for a chance to be enrolled in @steembasicincome which is an upvote for life. Here’s the post https://steemit.com/savethebeebutts/@phoenixwren/help-the-bees-contest
Well luckily for me my garden is bee friendly.
Now if Somtimes i come across white mildew and luckily there’s an app for that.
This is a seasamee oil and fish oil base that works great on mildew , and I’ve used it to get rid of gnats. I’ve never come across mites or aphids so I can’t speak of the effectiveness of it in regards to those pest. Also as you can see it’s safe for bees!!
So I do have a new addition to the garden ..
Since I live near where the Lost Boys was filmed, vampires are rampant in this area. So hopefully this garlic stops the random vampire floating outside my window at nights.
Kandy Kush really getting stinky!!
Close up of the tahoo og x og. Starting to get chunky!
Beefsteak tomato coming along nice!
My cock loves lavender 😉
My jalapeño finally starting to show signs of life!
Well hope you enjoyed my outdoor garden update, don’t forget to stop by @phoenixwren and give him a follow and join in on the contest! In the mean time stay positive and keep steemin on!!
Nice pics bro! :)
Wow, never seen aphids? They're such a common pest I thought they were everywhere. Well count yourself lucky, they are annoying little beggars.
Yes i do consider myself lucky. But white mildew is my nemesis! It’s an everyday battle with that shit. But I’m definitely winning! Haha
Ahhh. Well I don't have too much mildew to worry about, although tomatoes do get "blight" around here especially later in the season, and especially when it's been wet. Aphids are basically plant juice vampires, very small and light flying/crawling things which suck the energy out of just about anything, and multiply fast. They're problems on tomatoes, roses, peas, etc.
I’ll have to create a garlic barrier. 😉
I love garlic as an eater and as a gardener. So many benefits for humans and our gardens. I'm not into most bulb plants like tulips but garlic is a must. I don't have any going here at the apartment, lost my bulbs in the move, and don't really have space for it here. Maybe next year. I plan to upgrade and improve steadily :)
Garlic can also be used on cannabis plants as it has extremely strong anti-fungal properties. The chemical allicin is activated when garlic is chopped or cut in order to protect the plant.
CANNABEES!
If a bee eats cannabis pollen, does he then get the munchies for more pollen? Is it a pollen munchie vortex??
Haha, maybe thats why i the bees never leave, they forget to go home! haha, on a serious note check out this link! https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/wdbz55/hunting-for-hallucinogenic-honey-in-nepal-v23n6
