What is a Satoshi? and why its important.
if you dont know what a satoshi is u will soon. ok so we have all been either thinking about investing in bitcoin or already have. with the price of bitcoin going up the way it has and more and more people adopting it like banks countries, non profits, and tech companies etc. we can only expect it to sky rocket and more and more people to adopt it like restaurants, bars, liquor stores, grocery stores your local coffee shop etc. and since we really wouldn't pay 5k for a slice a pizza or a beer. it only makes sense to familiarize ourselves with smaller denominations and their (aka's) after all who calls a PENNY a 1 cent coin?? lol maybe some of you do...
5 cent=nickel
10 cent=dime
you get the point....
bitcoin is also know as BTC, XBT. Smaller amounts are also called millibitcoin, mbtc, microbitcoin sometimes referred to as bits or SATOSHI'S named after bitcoin's creator,
A satoshi is the smallest amount within bitcoin representing 0.00000001 bitcoin, one hundred millionth of a bitcoin.
A millibitcoin equals to 0.001 bitcoin, one thousandth of a bitcoin.
One microbitcoin equals to 0.000001 bitcoin, one millionth of a bitcoin.
I think a lot of people who use Steemit needs to learn who Satoshi was/is ...
I have a huge appreciation for what he did for us.. and thanks to him we can right now enjoy even something like steemit and be able to transfer Steem into Bitcoin... Thanks for sharing this with us my friend!
i couldn't agree more. i just wish we could get more info on him. like an HBO documentary on him would b awesome. so much mystery about him, the more i look him up the more questions i end up with . lol
