Was God's way about self or love? Love one another?
Love is Not agreeing with someone when they are wrong and loving them into hell, but rather showing the way of truth, light no matter how much they despise it.
Remember God told us this and also said Right Out we would be despised and rejected among men for His name's sake. Pretty much there in the time line right?

So one song glorifies the fallen behavior, the other acknowledges and realizes instead of being Doomed. ..a savior is Needed.

Also satan would not have been able to tempt Jesus with the offerings of the riches of this world, land and resources if it didn't belong to him. It would have been laughable for satan to offer up something that wasn't his, but satan is Not stupid and God honors His word.

Now look at satan's offerings or his Kingdom Come vs. God our Creator's Kingdom Come. ..
As the song Demons states,

So they Glorify their doom, give into it and accept their outcome of Greed and selfishness.
We have a Very Different One. Our outcome is filled with goodness, their's Not so much!
Notice the difference of acknowledging selfishness rather than glorifying in DC Talk's I Wanna be in the Light
