#runeveryday: The "Spartan Sauna" run

After hard showers yesterday, someone could think that the temperature had fallen a little in Barcelona and so it did in the morning, but, I went for running after work at 18:00h and the temperature was really hot for running. But also the humidity was very high and, If you combine both, it can be a pure suffering for a runner. It is really like running inside a "Sauna".

As I said in other posts, under these conditions, more than calling us a "Runner", if you are an "addict" like me, we should call us "Spartans".
The summary of the Run: a Progressive Short Run starting at 5'10"/km the first Km, running the 6th in 4'/km pace and ending a total of 7 km in 32 minutes, at a pace average of 4'34"/km. Then, cool down and smooth stretching

Too fast, there Eddie! In that heat. We see the dry heat, but it does have many more benefits! Good work! Thanks for the motivation! It is so close to the waterfront - do you ever dive in?

I used to have a bath in the see after training very often, actually I I do also on winter time when the water is below 16 degrees here.
As well, I combine running with swimming and, sometimes cycling.
Cool water bath after a hard running session is a perfect recovery routine.
I am very lucky to train so close to the see here.

Yes, you are very fortunate! A polar plunge sounds so lovely. We have but one river and a wide expanse of barren desert sand dunes, beating sun and the clearest, bluest skies. The surf is eight hours away.
