My first park run
I have read about park runs both here and on Instagram but never had the chance to try it. Today however, with school summer holidays and no kids activities, I got up early, took the bus to Oslo and attended my very first park run. What a great concept! The volunteers were helpful and so friendly and supportive. Because of holidays about half the people running were tourists, so I talked to so many people from all over the world at the cafe after. Usually I think 5K is a short and painful distance and prefer longer and slower runs, but after being injured half the year and forced to run short distances I figured it’s all I can do anyway at the moment. Must do this again!

In my experience, when I run barefoot (that’s almost every time) I don’t get injured. Mainly, because I’m more present and kindly land my footsteps.

I mainly run in minimalist shoes and have even tried barefoot sandals (lunas). Unfortunately it takes more to keep these legs injury free.

Very cool! I've been meaning to check out the park-run here at home, too.
