Lunch run for #runforsteem

No morning lap this morning, we were just about to leave, when the rain started. Not just a little drizzle, but a lot of heavy rain.
Of course we run in all weathers, but you don't have to force it. Here on Fehmarn the weather changes quickly and we were sure it will still be dry today.

Fehmarn actually needs every drop of rain, because that is one of the problems here, too little water.
Fehmarn has the most hours of sunshine a year in Germany, the soil is very fertile, unfortunately there is not enough rain. A special pipeline from the mainland was laid for the drinking water supply.

So we waited for the necessary rain and ran at noon. This time not to the sea, we wanted to stay near the apartment in case there should be a few more showers. So we ran under a cloudy sky in the interior of the island.
It was still nice, the air a little hazy, a low wind and the beautiful view of Petersdorf.

Lydia set a good pace and we managed this fast (almost) 8 kilometre lap:
