RUNCOIN Distribution Round Nine: Post Your Proof of Run (Strava, Garmin Race) and Get $1 Worth Of Tokens 🏃🏻

in #running7 years ago

This is the nitnh distribution round of RUNCOIN, my experimental coin for runners. The first seven had nine beneficiaries, with a combined value of 1079 RUNCOIN.

For each running activity you get $1 worth of RUNCOIN (between 23 and 51 tokens at the current price). I will also need your OpenLedger account so I'll know where to send it.

Here are the detailed rules:

  • $1 worth of RUNCOIN per activity (running activity, that is)
  • proof of run must be submitted, in the comments: screenshot + link + proof of identity
  • proofs of run must be newer than the date of this post
  • OpenLedger account so I know where to transfer the tokens
  • all transactions will be published here, on Steemit
  • time window for this distribution is September 20th - September 30th (everything posted after that will not be eligible for rewards)
  • This round will expire on September 30th, please refer to the distribution roadmap below.

The total amount of RUNCOIN issued so far is:

88 on June 30th
888 on July 3rd
8888 on August 2nd
1079 have been already distributed, total circulating supply 9864 RUNCOIN

RUNCOIN has a limited supply of 8,888,888 tokens (out of which 88,000 are reserved for network maintenance).

The Distribution Roadmap

  • 1st Round: July 1st - July 10th - closed
  • 2nd Round: July 10th - July 20th - closed
  • 3rd Round: July 20th - July 30th - closed
  • 4th Round: July 30th - August 10th - closed
  • 5th Round: August 10th - August 20th - closed
  • 6th Round: August 20th - August 30th - closed
  • 7th Round: August 30th - September 10th - closed
  • 8th Round: September 10th - September 20th - closed
  • 9th Round: September 20th - September 30th - current
  • 10th Round: September 30th - October 10th

You may want to save these dates. In each distribution window, I will distribute $1 worth of RUNCOIN to every runner who will follow the conditions above. The rule is that there is only one slot per distribution window, but you can participate in as many distribution windows as you want. So you can't get more RUNCOIN if you post many races during a distribution window, only one slot, but you can participate in all the distribution windows (getting $1 worth of RUNCOIN in each of them).

I'm curious how this will play out, how many people will find RUNCOIN useful and, why not, how the price will evolve.

Let's run and play :)

Hey @dragosroua, I bet you thought I'd forgotten about this huh?

I wanted to put in a good effort for the coin this time, but it has been really hard getting out to run. It has been horrible weather here and not really nice for getting out and running.

But this morning I managed to get out while the rain clouds were sleeping and throw down a hard 10km run.

It felt hard going into it and it didn't get any easier as I went round. but my ankle held up well, which was one of the things i was testing.

I ended up with a new PR for 5kms and for 10kms, so very happy with that!

I understand that this is not a fast time for anyone with long legs, or under 50, but it's a good time for me.

Now all i need to do is sustain that pace for another 50kms ;-)

Here is my PoR - https://www.strava.com/activities/1203061634

Congrats, my friend! Just keep it like this :)

I need your Open Ledger account so I can send you your Runcoin. If you don't have an account, you can open one by clicking here.

I opened an account under the name glenn-olua

Thanks @dragosroua!

This is getting easier to get into now that I'm running almost daily.

But it has another unusual effect.....

I don't want to submit a small (10km) run. If I'm going to get paid it might as well be for a decent effort. So I'm trying to get a good long run in and submit it.

Depending on my ankle (and work) I'll be out tonight aiming for 20kms. (last night's 20kms doesn't count unfortunately)

Or maybe I'll go large and do 30kms. (but probably not hehehe)

Thanks for all the RUNCOIN so far - I've got 201.83 sitting in my wallet right now. woohoo!!

I wish you a good run. And long enough for your inner judge to be satisfied :)

I am happy to post my longest run of 7 kilometers. Happy because I was able to squeeze it into the completely packed schedule. My average runs are 4 km long ...

Anyways, goodluck with collecting Runcoins :)

nice post i will try it.

Resteemed as usual :-)

Do you have any plans for turning Proof of Run into a real proof after this test run (no pun intended 😉)?

Not giving much away 😶 Well looking forward to what you come up with.

Thanks for the useful information.
