Reflections on Running in 2017

MapMyRun did a cute little year in review for 2017 for me. I wanted to share it along with some of my other running achievements for the year. Along with that I want to list out some of my running goals for 2018!

I burned enough calories while running to workoff 160 slices of pizza 🍕! Good thing too, cause I love pizza and maybe ate that many! 😉

I ran (tracked by MapMyRun...so not counting treadmill runs or the month I ran with out the spot) 704 miles.

Other stats they shared was hours ran...126 and total runs...193.

I’m pretty happy with the 2017 running year I ran in 12 races and took a few age group awards. My favorite race of the year was the on I completed on my 40th birthday! It was a nice flat course, a destination race, ON MY BIRTHDAY, and I got first place!

My only crusty spot on this past year in running is being benched with this nagging knee issue. I’m well on my way to running again, but the wait is killing me!


My running goals for next year are pretty lofty...

  • Run 1000 Miles
  • PR in all races distances from 5k - 1/2 Marathon
  • NO KNEE PAIN
  • Sign up for another full for Jan 2019
  • Begin Full Marathon Training
  • Coach on more person to love running as much as I do!
