Run for Steem - Squeezing a Run In Between Golf
I’ve been down in South Carolina playing golf with college friends over the last few days and squeezed in a run this morning. They don’t allow runners on the cart paths, so I had to run on the street, but there were plenty of golf course scenery along the way since our condos were surrounded my the courses.
Running in Myrtle Beach among all the golf courses is much flatter than my normal routes and therefore my pace was several minutes faster per mile than my favorite trails up north.
Given the flat terrain, it is no wonder that I didn’t get very much time at all in heart rate zones 4 and 5. My maximum heart rate at 138 is usually what my average heart rate is when I run trails back in Maryland.
That’s this week’s entry for @jumowa’s #runforsteem challenge.
