Wait, What? Old School RuneScape iPhone App

Have you guys seen this??? You can play RuneScape, like the old, good version, from an iPhone now!!!

I played this game for years as a kid. Playing it on my phone is a huge nostalgia trip :D

This definitely isn’t the kind of game I feel like I want to play all the way through again. Been there done that, and my old character appears to be lost forever. However, it’s a perfect time waster, with real goals and accomplishments, puzzles to solve, and places to explore. Being able to play RS on the bus or the train is gonna be pretty sweet. If you want to check out what they did with the iOS app, just search “OSRS” (Old School RuneScape) on the App Store! I bet they have it for Android as well, although I’m not certain.

Playing this game again makes me think that it would be really cool to monetize/tokenize it, by running a RS world that relies on blockchain transactions... The games simple style and turn-based combat makes me think this could be possible somehow. However, I am no blockchain or video game developer, so I have no idea about the complexities a project like that would entail. I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s thought of running a RuneScape clone on a blockchain.
