Pink Rose
Roses are one of the world's most popular flowering plants. There are thousands of Varieties to choose from, there are many colors, and a lot of them have fragrant flowers. Rose Water extracted from fragrant blooms is a popular food additive in many Middle-Eastern sweet dishes or deserts. Roses are relatively high maintainence plants, needing pruning during winter while they are dormant, and are susceptible to fungal diseases such as rust and mildew. But the hard work is worth it as the rewards are there when you get a lovely show of flowers, and some cut flowers for the house ! Here is a Pink Rose Bush in front of a block of apartments.

Lovely pink roses! I like the rose very much and those deep red colours too. My friend gave me four rose plant. They all died within a year, the local insects ate all the leaves, buds and flowers! It's really too much work! I shall have to find a variety of roses that are strong enough to survive around my garden.

Oh that's bad luck, sorry to hear about that. Maybe a Banksia Rose ( Rosa banksiae ) would be better. They have tougher leaves, and do not have thorns. They have Yellow or White flowers.
Wow! Thank you very much! I didn't know that some roses don't have thorns and can survive insects attack! I am taking the name of the rose down.
I felt quite bad actually because it was one of my best friends who gave me those roses which she grew herself in big pots. They were all scented too. Now I can give it a try and makeup to the other roses.
