Views To Die For! The Best Aparol Spritz And Two Rooftop Bars You Must Visit For Your Summer Holiday in Vienna

The best things in life cannot be kept to oneself. My hometown surprises me every day! 

The moment when you feel that kind of overload from too much social media and the internet, you better get up and far away from your laptops, to get an ice-cold Aparol Spritz, my favourite drink. 

Aperol is an Italian aperitif, similar to Campari but sweeter in taste: 3 parts prosecco, 2 parts Aperol , 1 part soda water, Slice of orange.

So, some of you might already know that I am a little bit "stuck" in one place to fulfil my responsibility towards my Mom but I really try to make the best out of my days in the city. Beach holidays are on hold for a while. I used to travel so much in the past years and my "Fernweh", my urge to get to know every interesting spot in our beautiful world, is minimized to zero. There is no time right now to go anywhere else. I am the best tourist in my own hometown!

What to do other than complaining that I can't jump on the next plane. Its very simple and we hear this all the time. Live NOW! Make the best out of every single day, wherever you are and be thankful for the moment's beauty you can find just around the corner.

Whats better than sipping on a few cocktails, hanging out with friends, visiting from Indonesia for their last day in Vienna. I had to prove them that you can also experience unforgettable "sun-downs" in the cosmopolitan city of Wien as well. It was a breathtaking site with the sweetest, young ladies around.

The other rooftop bar is close to the Museums Quartier and on top of the super cool 25hours-Hotel.

They converted an old student hostel into a hip and chic designer hotel.

 

Three additional floors in glass were added on top of the unadorned reinforced but classic, concrete building from the 70's. 

A very cool bar with an outdoor terrace on the top floor with vintage retro interior has been set up where you can chat away with your friends, overlooking a beautiful scenery, perfect background for your instagram selfies.

At the entrance you find this cute burger hangout.

If there is still some time left go to the Museums Quartier and lounge in one of those green chairs and take your dinner in one of many cafe's.
