Two years ago I gave my uncle a paper wallet with .05 btc.
He doesn't have any crypto accounts anywhere and isn't particularly savvy.
If I could suggest he open an account here and just paste that private key straight in on the wallet page, he doesn't need to
- Find and open a trusted wallet with capacity to sweep private keys for bitcoin.
- Find and open a trusted wallet with capacity to sweep private keys for bitcoin cash
- Find and open a trusted wallet with capacity to sweep private keys for bitcoin gold.
- Pay transfer fees on all 3 blockchains.
- Send the balance to blocktrades from each.
It’s an interesting use case, but I don’t know how many Steem users will benefit from it. If you can make the case for the developer effort required to make it happen, it would probably be a good thing to present in a post.
Yes. Its one of those things you need to build first, to see how popular it is.
