What is the Rewards-Pool?
Rewards pool is an upvote service that receives it's Steem Power from monthly membership contributions and SP delegations. By becoming a member, you are added to the membership list.
Each day, eight members are selected for a "SPLASH" and their most recent post will be upvoted. As more members join, the upvote becomes increasingly valuable, although the chances of winning decreases.
As more members join there will also be a "dry off" period to increase the chances of other member receiving a "splash".

All calculations are based on current market conditions and membership numbers. These will change over time.
Memberships are 10 STEEM per month or a 250 SP delegation. Here is something to consider:
There are currently 60 members and the @rewards-pool upvote is currently $4.12
Eight upvotes per day @ $4.12 = $32.96 in daily upvotes.
$32.96 upvote value over a month (30 days) = $988.80 in upvotes per month. But what does this add up to in USD after curation fees?
That's (currently) $1,014.876 USD in rewards given to members every month!

This is an amazing service, where you can be doing your normal everyday posting and out of nowhere... Splash! A $4.00 upvote!
What are the odds of winning some of this?
60 members / 8 upvotes = 13.3 % chance of receiving an upvote... Every day!

Once the "dry off" is activated, the chances of winning will increase and as new members join, the payout will increase as well. It's a win/win!

the only problem is 250 SP sounds pretty darn steep for an entrance fee.

Remember you are delegating the SP so it still is yours we just borrow it. So 250 sp is a 4 cent upvote. Just 1 of our upvotes is a 100 times this. Steep....Not at all my friend. Worth it... You bet! 😀👍

No this isn't my invention at all, but it's an interesting idea. The nice thing about delegations is that you get to keep the SP, it's just 'effectively' loaned out. If I ever decide it's not working out, I can take my delegation back. A 250 SP results in about a $0.04 upvote, I would have to upvote myself 103 times (bad form) and drain my voting power down to nothing just to make up for one @rewards-pool upvote.
Concerning the price, I wouldn't be surprised if there were membership sales in the future. Who knows what the future will bring for reward pool. Maybe a @kiddie-pool where members delegate 10SP. :-) @ironshield

The 250 delegation really is the best option. I bought STEEM back when it was under $1.00 At the time I felt it was a risky investment, but I feel better about it now. @ironshield
