There is a big push right now to get the entire game blocked out so that I can focus on polish and bug fixing during steam early access. I am easily pushing 12 hour work days at this point. But I am seeing progress on the game overall and it feels good.


New enemy animations are in the works right now, thanks to Gunschlinger! The Animations are one of the very few things that I am not doing myself.

The beholders are vibrating.

And they all want you to die!

So its a good thing that there are more locations to fight them in as well!

There are various locations being fleshed out for combat. I have raised the games default level cap from 10 to 20 so that there is more room to grow within these new spaces. Another aspect that I want to show is the idea that you will be revisiting places you have already completed before and seeing things from different angles as you progress.

This here shows that there is an exit from the Under Tunnels to an upper location over looking one of the very early locations of the game. If you look over the edge you will see level 3 monsters walking around which will be pretty funny because by now you are likely a level 15 bad ass in greens and purples with blueprint crafted special gear.

Now one of the things that is amusing about this situation is that it does potentially mean a level 3 player might be clever and find a way to get up to that ledge. I am not even sure if I want to prevent this from happening. It will be funny to see someone act like they broke the game only to get face stomped by shit that can one shot stomp them while their pea shooter can bearly deal 1 damage! HAHA

Its going to be interesting to see peoples reactions to this kind of flow. I even plan to place some goodies on the ledge to get peoples attention.

So the above shots are pictures of the next area I will work on. This area is an optional side path that will involve some heavy combat. If you manage to clear this area you will be able to gain the blueprint to craft the Obliterator weapon which is most easily described as Revulsion's answer to the BFG from Doom.

Looks like an awesome little game you are making, you using unreal or unity or something else?

I just got into unreal engine and been having fun playing around, learning more and more as I use it.

Unreal 4, its a beast of an engine.

Good stuff! I found it much simpler to use than Unity, also in general it is easier to create in.
