Cheers to the Air Bed. Review Post!!

in #review6 years ago (edited)

Indian biking community is full of enthusiasts who love to explore, seek out to adventure, riding miles to explore the diverse towns India has to offer while there's another category who spends a lot of time on saddle and use motorbikes for their daily commuting to work. Whatever be your reason to be on that saddle; i'm sure most of you agree to the discomfort and fatigue we get from current traffic situation and not so cooperative roads.

Few days back I wrote about my new Touring Gear. The seat provides an extra layer between you and the road resulting in lesser jerks and fatigue. It comes with elastic straps and mounting it on bike is a fairly easy process. I was initially skeptical on size of the straps however they do their work well and seat can be installed in less than 2 mins.

Filling the seat is easy too and you can maintain the air pressure depending on the road you will be riding. To inflate you simply unzip the side and unscrew the valve and inflate so that you have something that wont bottom out when you sit on it also not over inflated either which lowers it's effectiveness.

Took me a while to get adjusted. Had to reduce air twice before getting that perfect setting

Indeed smooth roads were not enough to rate it so we went ahead to Delhi's busiest market - Chandni Chowk. Potholes or speed bumps; the seat was well in place and didn't move or made me feel uncomfortable. It took some time to get used to the leather sidelines but nothing to crib or complain of.
The quality of the product is really good, and the contrasting stitching is very fetching.

3 Hours and 50 kms of city ride today and I don't know how I rode a motorcycle without one of these before. It feels i can ride all day without any numb bum and have no lower back issues that I always experienced when in a saddle for a long day. Its definitely a value for money.

Those interested can head to FuelADream website and order for Fego Float. It's currently available for INR 1979 for bike and INR 2249 for cars.

You're like a girl if you need a softer seat :) You must have a Iron butt :)

Duh? its not about softer or iron butt - its about the ache and pain and long term effects brother. Ride a bike for hours everyday and you will understand. There is NO harm in making sure you, as a rider, feel comfortable and less distracted

You mean men don't deserve comfort? I ride to live and not to penalize myself 😉

oh air bed, hmm i didnot know something like this exists, nice

they definitely do. We riders have been doing jugaads every since and now its time to enjoy some float

Using one for my 'hard' Aprilia SR 150. Only issue is ride height increases :)

That was my initial feel but then I deflated it to minimum.

Right now it only has 5-10% air and is working fine.

Oh yes. I will try adjusting the air as well.

That was a nice tour around town, beautiful pictures, its not quite easy going on bike, i hardly does that, so i would say, good job.

Thanks Peter. I've been a regular commuter and love it to the core.

That's nice, keep on, do expect more update

Very nice post .

Bike riding is a thing of past for me now. Just the word 'bum ache' reminded me of all the rides that I had taken a few years ago. Kudos to all the those who have the heart of riding a motorcycle :D

And even I did that towel trick man :P

Guess its these jugaads that makes our ride fun. Number of towel folds are directly proportional to the miles we cover :p
