RE: "Annihilation" by Alex Garland - a really good movie that will unfortunately not be highly appreciated - review
Yes, about brother Strugatsky book.
The ending for me was brilliant... otherwise, the movie really surprisingly balances the weird and the purely entertainment element. I forgot and I think it is appropriate to mention the conscious absence of a real antagonist - history leads you to the nose for the most part of the action, the cosmic horror atmosphere takes over the mood in its entirety, but in a purely motivational plan, Evil is not evil, a kind of panacea for the characters, even those who were not quite developed. :)
Yes, well observed: in the absence of a clearly identifiable enemy, the characters eventually turn against one another. Such is the human way :)
