Steemit Restaurant Review! The Classic & Popular Dish Of The Viennese Cuisine - Der Tafelspitz
Today I will announce winners of my little food challenge the other day and also introduce a couple of restaurants in Vienna. One is close by, in an area where I live at the moment. So! You probably can imagine how often you see me with friends or guests eating mind-blowing Austrian "goodies"!
Many visitors are of course always asking me, where to eat the best food. I had to explore myself because I didn't really know after my return to Vienna. You better be prepared if you wish to be a good airbnb host.
Vienna feels like Brooklyn for me with the industrial feeling of those "Bierboegen"!
This is a perfect shot for the "indigosaturday"
That's the way from U6 Subway Stop "Spittelau" to various restaurants in this unique area, I really love a lot, especially in summer when you can sit outside.

I am not eating a lot of meat and since I lived in SE-Asia for nearly two decades, I got used to a simple diet of tropical fruits, veggies in combination of rice but I have to confess that I am obviously true to my Austrian roots, enjoying the traditional "Koestlichkeiten", I was raised with in my home.
I love good food more than the gym:)
I gained weight since I am back in Wien but thats ok......Back to "Rubens- Figur!
If you are not Vegetarian, I suggest to eat at least once the popular "Tafelspitz" and here is where I found the best ones so far. I am sure there are many other places as well.
Tafelspitz (German Tafelspitz, literally meaning tip (of meat) for the table) is boiled veal or beef in broth, served with a mix of minced apples and horseradish. Although pork seems ubiquitous in Viennese cuisine nowadays, beef also has a long tradition hereabouts – as tastily proven by the Tafelspitz (boiled fillet of beef haunch). - Source Wien.info
The Menu looks like a magazin at Brandauer and you will find many delicious and huge meals.
I never leave without my "Doggie-bag".

Emperor Franz Joseph made boiled beef hugely popular when he declared that it was his favourite meal. Vienna attained a unique international position early on with the typical small cuts of beef. Among the many beef delicacies, it is undoubtedly the Tafelspitz that has achieved the greatest fame.- Text & Image Source from Platchutta's Website

Wow, I have to say that Im impressed from the pictures. The industrial look is normally a bit cold and doesnt feel that cosy; BUT; this is the complete oposite, so colorful, so relaxed, and that do invite people. It looks amazing, full of energy.
You have no idea how happy your comment makes me because it’s my secret passion to catch those moments of everyday life , make it look more interesting. Sometimes we are walking by various places, without realizing how cool they are.
Also da gehen wir wieder hin. Ist ja mittlerweile mein Stammbeisl mit meinen Gaesten.
Home sweet home ♡ ♡ ♡
And yaaay thank you! I feel like I had an unfair advantage as a Viennese girl though! haha
I think I might have to write about the beauty of the “Rubens Figuren” a la carte Wien. Hahha!
I did not expect, I'm in the list of the winner of Ur! Thank you very much @mammasitta.
I didn’t have time yet to transfer but will do soon. It’s only a little gesture anyways:)
wow nice post..nice photos
🙌🙌🙌
Magnificent article. I had a feeling that I myself visited this restaurant. Thank you for doing Steemit better. Good luck to you and good.
Danke vielmals:) I am so happy to get such awesome feedback. I try my Best to show what #steemit-quality" means:)
Uhuu i knew it :D Congrats to the winners :))
Did I forget you??? Outsch! I only took the first ones who answered fast
No worries ! Next time :))
Ja Ja Ja :)
Vienna feels like Brooklyn that is a interesting comparison there @mammasittaalso I think the choice of a simple diet of tropical fruits and veggies with a combination of rice (I love rice) is better for you then eating meat, good job with the guide.
I know I know I know heheheee!!!
Amazing buildings, full of color, light, and brick... That glass wall encasing the building within in picture #3 is stunning! I know this post is really about the food, but the architecture stole my interest away (temporarily. lol)
An interesting service with the pots set out on the table in your last pic. We'd call that 'family style' here...
You make Austria so damn interesting!
Ahahahah Really ???
It was actually about both :) Amazing sight! Yummy food ! I just added another tag....Thanks to your idea
Honored! :)
Only your wine is missing :)
I tried pronouncing the word "Koestlichkeiten" and I couldn't help but laugh when I did it. I mean, I probably failed miserably to pronounce it and it sounded so funny... :D The place looks amazing by the way :)
You make me laugh:)
