Today I would like to look at Matthew 6 verse 24 to 25

  1. “No one can be a slave of two masters; he will hate one and love the other; he will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
  2. “This is why I tell you not to be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn't life worth more than food? And isn't the body worth more than clothes?

We are living in a materialistic world, people basically serves money, peoples lives revolves around money. The relationship between people and money is stronger than their relationship with God. We spend our attention, time and power to gather money. We must ask ourselves on what we spent our time and power, God or money?

Jesus say we must not be worried about the stuff that God promises to provide. Worries has a negative influence on us, it breaks down our bodies, it leads to our thoughts being consumed by our worries, it leads to sleeplessness and it hampers our ability to trust in God. We must trust in God, He will provide in our needs.

Have a wonderful day.

Glad you brought this topic up. I struggle a lot with this, because of my focus and drive to financially succeed. It seems the more I chase wealth, the further I push God away.

I think we all suffer with this in today's world and life.
Thank you for the reply
