Hopefully by 2017 Christianity has become more reasonable and empirical. Basically there are 2 kinds of Christians by now:

  • Those who don’t really think Jesus is God or the son of it, but just think him of as a prophet or a teacher that had spiritual revelations and great moral knowledge and experience, so he was kind of a role model for spirituality rather than a manifestation of the divine itself.
  • Those that literally think that Jesus is/was a Divine entity in the literal sense.

Now obviously the latter people are in a minority, most Christians are now more Secular and more rational. While still believers, they don’t read the Bible literally, but rather interpret it metaphorically.

Now I am going to ignore the latter group, they are just too irrational to interact with, since they then also have to believe in talking snakes, virgin impregnation, walking on water, giants and zombies, and other ridiculous stuff that was described in the Bible (later of course edited out).

The first group of people have to be rational, since there are hundreds of millions of Christians, while still having faith, they are living in the real world, absent of “magic”, doing all sorts of jobs. Mysticism really can’t make people successful so they have to be empirical, especially hard scientists. How is a Christian engineer going to built a building if he literally believes in Noah’s Ark, which was a massive contradiction from an engineering standpoint?

So the first group of people, while still faithful and spiritual, they are more secular and rational.

So the first group bases it’s faith, all of it’s beliefs and worldview on Jesus Christ. While more secular and rational, inevitably the faith and the spirituality is centered around Jesus.

So if it would turn out that Jesus had never existed, then the entire chain of belief would shatter and fall apart like a castle of cards.

Jesus had never existed!

There is a very high probability that Jesus of Nazareth (Yeshua ben Yosef) had never existed. Contrary to popular belief, there is absolutely no evidence of Jesus’s existence, at all, and I mean, none whatsoever.

I am saying this to the first group of course, since the 2nd group will insist that Jesus is God, so I must be a heretic of denying him. But whatever…

But to a secular Christian, who thinks that Jesus was a historical personality, a human though, well it’s bad news, because their faith is absolutely based on baloney.

This is probably the greatest deception and conspiracy of all time. Building an entire religion around a person/teacher, that never existed.

Moses, Abraham, and even Muhammad did exist, there is plenty of evidence for that, mostly textual, but at least it’s cited multiple times.

Jesus however wasn’t only after hundreds of years of his supposed death, and it’s not even clear that the text is referring to the same person.

Of course Moses did not part the Red Sea either, they probably used boats, so it was just an artistic exaggeration. But Moses as a historical personality nontheless, he did exist.

Uncovering the Deception

There are tons of misconceptions about the story of Jesus, there is a cloud of deception around it, mostly fabricated stuff that was promoted through centuries by the church, and later new lies and misconceptions added in, as the stories spread mouth to mouth. Let’s start one by one:

1) Roman Historians

Roman historians were famous for their detailed archiving of history, they wrote about important events, certainly uprisings and civil conflicts were of interest to them. And yes they wrote extensively even about the enemies of Rome, like Hannibal and Pyrrhus, so there was absolutely no reason to censor anybody out. If Jesus was such a notorious figure, I mean he almost literally organized a revolt there and it was allegedly a massive event, it upset the entire Judea region, so some historian must have heard about it? Yet no Roman historian ever wrote about Jesus.

So the claim that they didn’t wrote about Jesus because he just upset them too much is ridiculous. There was no bigger tragedy to Rome than Hannibal, yet they wrote about him extensively.

So there is no historian mention of Jesus, at all, during this period and after.

2) Killing of the newborn babies by Herod

Herod was the puppet king of Judea appointed by Rome. He never did such a thing. Again if he had done such atrocious things, it would have been massively recorded both by Jewish historians and by Roman historians.

The killing of the newborn babies never happened, yet the entire birth story of Jesus is centered around this, that Jesus barely escaped this atrocity.

3) Birth of Jesus

Prepare to be shocked: Nazareth never existed. There was no such location at all in this time period, it was only later established. The location was described pretty well, but there wasn’t a town here during this time, it was a burial ground of tombs in mountains.

Certainly the Roman and Jewish historians know the location and names of the towns, in any translation. But the name Nazareth was simply not there. It was only later established as a town.

Also even the gospel contradicts himself, in one part it’s claimed that he was born in Bethlehem, in other it’s that it was born in Nazareth, now the Nazareth part can safely be excluded, but it also says that he was living in Nazareth before he started his preaching, but this is false as well since Nazareth simply didn’t exist.

Also the so called Stars of the East are nonsense as well, we know from modern astronomy that such event didn’t happen (possibly a comet), and furthermore the text describes a ridiculous path of the star followed a ridiculous trajectory, so this can be dismissed.

Also the date of the birth is also inconclusive, not even the early Christians knew it exactly. So how can you talk about Jesus if you don’t even know his date of birth?

I am not even going to talk about how ridiculous the virgin impregnation nonsense is. The virginity part was borrowed from paganistic concepts.

Read more evidence here:

4) Multiple Jesuses

Yes, the early Christians were so preposterous that they didn’t even know the actual story of Jesus correctly so there were multiple descriptions of somebody that might have been Jesus, of course many centuries after the event.

  • Jesus ben Sirach ~ 180 BC
  • Jesus ben Pandira ~ 106 BC
  • Jesus ben Ananias ~ 62 AD
  • Jesus ben Saphat ~ 68 AD
  • Jesus ben Gamala ~ 68-69 AD
  • Jesus ben Thebuth ~ 69 AD

So literally the early Christians couldn’t even figure out which was was the Real Jesus!

Multiple faith-healers and preachers were conflated together, and the story of Yeshua ben Yosef was probably a fiction inspired from each of these stories.

Now there was a character so called Jesus ben Stada who was a Jewish agitator during the Roman Jewish wars, he was described as being crucified, but so was thousands of others. Nothing like the crucifixion story. Why would this particular person be different than the others?

Read more here:

5) Crucifixion

Again it was possibly the story of Ben Stada or Ben Pandera mixed with fiction.

There were no trials under Pilate (he was a tyrant), and they didn’t remove people from the cross, they let them stay there for months for intimidation.

So the burial (and of course revival) of Jesus was also nonsense.

6) Constantine the Great

Many people attribute the spread of Christianity to Constantine, but the truth is that he didn’t believe in Jesus.

He believed in the Roman Sun God, named SOL INVICTUS, and the Nicean council didn’t mention Jesus in the original translations.

It was just the introduction of a monotheistic Sun worshiping religion, probably inspired from Ra-ism, and however they translated it, it mostly centered around astrology rather than anything to do with Jesus.

For this reason many people think that the concept of Jesus actually referred to the North Star and similarly Satan as Saturn. It’s just silly astrology and mysticism of ancient primitive people.

7) Mithra

The story of Jesus also borrows a lot from Mithraism, and from other Indian and Egyptian mythologies.

The story of Mithras is also very similar to that of Jesus and there was another character in Hinduism (I forget it’s name) that also had the same story.

So it’s the same story in all religions being recycled over and over again by hearsay.

There was a massive cult of Mithraism in Rome, so it’s totally possible that the fable of Jesus was heavily inspired by this too.

8) The 12 disciples

They didn’t exist either. The scripture can’t even settle on their names, in some places it’s called 1 name in other places it’s another. Also it’s also not clear which scripture was written by which apostles.

The funniest thing is Judas Iscariot story, who according to the scripture died multiple times!! You can’t make this up, it’s so ridiculous.

Read more here:

9) The Bible

It’s a total fiction book, nothing in there is real, literally. It was probably written after 1000 AD, and rewritten who knows how many times. It’s currently composed of multiple books, and of course the church just threw out books that were too contradictory to the narrative and rewrote it multiple times. Yet its still full of contradictions, only the newest and most edited versions are now somewhat readable, especially since they just threw out the Old Testament as it is, as it was too cruel for a “Holy Book”.

It is certain that Jesus was never mentioned in the Nicaean council, so the myth got mixed in later by combining the characters mentioned above with myths and stories known at the time.

I would not be surprised if the bible was entirely hand written by a group of priests who wanted to hijack the SOL INVICTUS cult and turn it into Christianity. But it was probably a gradual changing of the story.

Beginnings of Antisemitism

And so here we have the biggest conspiracy of humanity, and this conspiracy was the reason for the persecution of the Jewish people on religious basis.

Christians have claimed that Jews killed Jesus, the Deicide, and thus served as justification for the persecution of innocent Jewish people in the Middle Ages.

When it couldn’t be further from the truth, Jews have defended themselves by saying that it was the Romans who did it, but the truth is that Jesus didn’t even exist.

So just think about it for a second. Millions of innocent Jewish people have died in Pogroms and mass evictions throughout the entirety of the Middle Ages due to the hands of Christian agitators, for no reason whatsoever.

Obviously the Deicide was the main justification for Antisemitism, historically, but if the Deicide didn’t happen, then all the atrocities in the Middle Ages happened for no reason.

Not to mention the character of Judas Iscariot which spawned the “greedy Jew” and the “untrustworthy Jew” stereotypes which unfortunately embedded itself into the religious culture and the Anti-Semites are pushing to this day.

It couldn’t be further from the truth, Jews are one of the most humble people out there who focus a lot on introspection, so the “greedy Jew” stereotype is totally false, and Judas Iscariot didn’t even existed. So the 30 silver piece story never happened, all of it is an Anti-Semite fabrication, probably invented later by the Church.

And of course the tyranny of the Church, literally committing the most atrocious things possible during the Inquisition and the Dark Ages, all of it based on a stupid cult.

It’s insanely evil, humanity was held back 1000 years because of a fairytale that never happened and millions of people died.

Not to mention the Antisemitism brew stronger in religious circles and it culminated in the horrors of the Holocaust, which was partially encouraged by religious dogma.

How many millions of people died in the most horrible ways possible, all based on a fairytale of a magic zombie carpenter?

Your can’t even wrap your head around it, the senseless atrocities and disasters and the chaining back of humanity… It’s very very sad.

Conclusion

So the fairytale of Jesus is the biggest conspiracy in the world. It created thousands of years of suffering, genocide and agony. It held back human progress for so long and it still has 1,000,000,000 followers.

What else can be said about it?

I am not sure where some of you get your information - perhaps Common Core? Amazing! When the Beast shows up and he is almost ready to appear, then all of what you say will be out in the open, where people are believing every word you say. What a pity! God has offered His Son and the gifts that follow those who believe. Free speech is something we all need to cherish and not talk freely in uninformed ways to convince others that lies are in fact the truth.

100% !! and EARTH IS FLAT! It is very clear in The Bible!!

The bible is saying that the earth is a planet. Round and hanging in nothing. So where is your knowledge coming from? Zoomtruth should be not the name of your account. Noldusthinkingheknows should be it.

It says NOWHERE that it is round KJV, it is a circle no? (I am not so sure and asking )

Check out this video : FLAT EARTH | 75 BIBLE VERSES PROVING FLAT EARTH

I mean to me if you just take the words for how we know them you end up with big trouble for the ball. take a watch

Ok. I just read your other comment. You acctually believe the earth is flat. That puts it to another dimention. That really out of my reach.

Why would the proving the shape of the earth be out of your reach? If you consider how you truly "know" that the earth is a ball you will find it involves lots of government help. Starting at a young age with a globe in elementary school, they tell the young fawn where he lives. Next, they reenforce the LIE at the MOVIES and on TELEVISION on the news and in music. So how do we know earth is a ball. NASA.
NASA is an EMBARRASSMENT and there are numerous videos clearly showing fraud. Most people cannot handle accept that it was all a lie. Its THAT F'ed. Eric Dubay- History of the flat Earth -- very good vid, and shows how way back people knew earth was flat , they hide it cause it hides GOD. Athiest here until age 46 when I learned I lived under a dome and the stars and sun and moon keep time and give signs. Pretty cool affter being a 100% atheiist my ENTIRE LIFE . WOW. Earth is FLAT FOLKS !!! THEY LIE!

I get my information from research, logic, reasoning, and empirical evidence.

Common Core is Marxist indoctrination. What does it have to do with this?

First of all, when it comes to if Jesus was a person living at the time, there is documentation that at least put it in another perspective than what you are doing with this post. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus

When it comes to the suffering you are referring to, that suffering is not because of Jesus teachings. Meaning, if you really read the new testament, those actions have nothing to do with his message. Funny enough, he did say something like; when I come back, many will come to me and tell me how much they ahve done in my name, while I will tell them; I don't know you.

Another point here is that if you look at the historical development of "suffering". It hasn't been any better in the non-existence of this "christian" religious suffering I get the impression that you are referring to.

It's like if I say I kill someone in your name while you where clearly stating that I shouldn't do it. How could that make you guilty of the act?

So, that the roman empire decided to use christianity as their population control tool is by no means Jesus fault.

And ironically enough, if you look at atheism vs religion, and here I am referring to religion in the true sense, as a population control and power tool, you will find that atheism outperforms religion by multiple times when it comes to human suffering.

There is more to it

And ironically enough, if you look at atheism vs religion, and here I am referring to religion in the true sense, as a population control and power tool, you will find that atheism outperforms religion by multiple times when it comes to human suffering.

That is true, but that doesn't mean that we should jump back to irrational beliefs. Evil can't be cured by stupidity.

I am personally not an atheist, I have my own philosophy, but I don't believe Christianity or any other monotheistic religion is true.

So perhaps both Atheists and Christians are wrong?

Thats very likely to be true. Still there is no fault in trying to understand what the man tried to deliver of meaning. F.eks. in Norway, most christians believe that Jesus where a passifist. Something that is false if you really read the bible. From what it says, there should little doubt about it when it comes to self defense.

Ok.

I love the passion of writers here at steemit. You say : " Now I am going to ignore the latter group, they are just too irrational to interact with, since they then also have to believe in talking snakes, virgin impregnation, walking on water, giants and zombies, and other ridiculous stuff that was described in the Bible (later of course edited out). metaphorically."

Ok. So did God create the earth? How is an entity creating the earth so easily envisioned by YOU yet talking snakes, virgin impregnation, walking on water, giants and zombies and other RIDICULOUS stuff.."

Do YOU SEE that INSANITY of claiming limits on Gods powers? How EXACTLY does one go about building a universe and a an earth?

I guess the point of the article waa tobash christians. I am in group 2 of christians. I just found out the EARTH is FLAT about 9 months ago. Right before that I learned that the HOLOCAUST Gas Chambers are a LIE, I believe. The EVIDENCE is OVERWHELMING!!!!

I almost forgot the MOST IMPORTANT point, and that is there are thousands of people maybe many times more than that that now believe in God due SOLELY to Flat Earth.. The Bible, states clearly the earth is immovable, stopped the sun, looked over the entire kingdom, its on pillars, gods footstool, why even BOTHER Reading ORE believing ANYtHING in the Boible lol.. PLEASE LOOK into flat earth. I believed ALL the LIES JUST LIKE YOU!!! Look at the catholic church with upside down crosses? what?? They want people to go AGAINST God. So do most of the "big" players- all EVIL.

Before YOU or ANY other person RUNS OFF and CALLS me an anti semite for saying theu holohoax is a JOKE maybe look at David Cole's work and David Irvings work OR ASK YOURSELF why FREESPEECH is ILLEGAL REGARDING THE HOLOCAUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way that is the point of steemit DEAR WHALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 FREE SPEECH

Maybe you should MOVE to EUROPE where the GOVERNMENT woyld LOVE to have YOU be there SLAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love to hear EVERYONE"S thoughts on my RANT! Hope it DOES NOT GET CENSORED by our DEARD writer who KNOWS ALL. PEACE

Please EVERYONE LOOK into FLAT EARTH!!! I posted a video on it on my blog here. Flat Earth DEBUNKED! (I troll the deniars)

Actually, we have multiple accounts written about Jesus by eyewitnesses and those who talked to eyewitnesses. We have the written testimonies of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, James, Paul, and Jude.

(Luke 1:1-4 NIV) Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, {2} just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. {3} Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, {4} so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

(2 Peter 1:16 NIV) We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Saul of Tarsus is the best witness. He was an enemy of the church. He persecuted Christians. This is his story:

(Acts 26:2-20 NIV) "King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the Jews, {3} and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and controversies. Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently. {4} "The Jews all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child, from the beginning of my life in my own country, and also in Jerusalem. {5} They have known me for a long time and can testify, if they are willing, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee. {6} And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our fathers that I am on trial today. {7} This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as they earnestly serve God day and night. O king, it is because of this hope that the Jews are accusing me. {8} Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead? {9} "I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth. {10} And that is just what I did in Jerusalem. On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the saints in prison, and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. {11} Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. In my obsession against them, I even went to foreign cities to persecute them. {12} "On one of these journeys I was going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests. {13} About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. {14} We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' {15} "Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?' "'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' the Lord replied. {16} 'Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. {17} I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them {18} to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.' {19} "So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. {20} First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

Paul talks about all the witnesses of the risen Christ:

(1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NIV) For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, {4} that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, {5} and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. {6} After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. {7} Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, {8} and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

The Ark was an engineering marvel. Models of it have been tested and it's been found to be remarkably stable.

You don't understand the Bible is not an evidence for itself. You need corroborating evidence to support a claim. In this case there is none.

There is lots of evidence Yeshua.
You just have to look elsewhere, because the Vatican has sucked up all of the evidence in the west.

And discarding walking on water and talking animals...
right up until you see someone walking on water, and hear an animal talk to you.

Anyway, Buddhism has a much more elegant lineage of prophets.
Yes, there is more than one Buddha. And they are all catalogued.
Yes, there was more than one Jesus.

And, the saddest thing about christians, is that the take for literal all the metaphors and take as metaphor all the literals. It is quite disappointing. (like they are still arguing over whether the universe was created in 6 actual days/24 hour periods)

Check out Sai Baba for a modern day incarnation of the divine. He was able to cure diseases and create things out of thin air. Like gold rings and ash.

No there isn't. Romans never wrote about it, and the "Yeshu" in the Jewish Talmud refers to an apprentice of Jehoshua Ben-Perachia.

If neither Jewish nor Roman historians have wrote about him, then what kind of evidence are we talking about. (other than the gospels which are also likely a fiction book)

As described on this article, Jesus was pretty likely a composite fictional character with inspirations from multiple real world events and paganistic elements incorporated into Christianity.

There is a tomb of Jesus over in Tibet. And writings of his coming and learning from the Rinpoches there. And there are writings of him visiting Zen masters in Japan.

Nice post. I am a big fan of logic, and if no historians recorded the 'most amazing thing ever' then it most likely didn't happen. Well, outside of one book, that was compiled by the largest and most corrupt empire the world had seen, up to that point anyway...

I've realized that humans are so full of errors and shortcomings that we think that God can't be as perfect as he is. He is God. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent.
God doesn't need anyone to believe in him. If the entire human race became artists he would still be God.

So if it would turn out that Jesus had never existed, then the entire chain of belief would shatter and fall apart like a castle of cards.

Not really, I defend Christian values and principles even without the existence of any kind of deity.

I will not refute the whole matter you are discussing, because evidently, as you say, there is almost no proof, or there is no proof whatsoever, that this happened, however, I consider several things.

  1. I believe that people generally misinterpret the Bible, since they lack historical context to understand it, interpret words, sentences and paragraphs, many times, giving current connotations to it.

  2. Anti-Semitism, yes it is true, was justified many times for the reason you describe, the reality is that this has always been the farce, the Jews have caused problems in almost every place where they have arrived. The hatred and confrontation between Jews and Christians have been mutual, they have to leave victimhood, they never integrate into Christian societies, and they always have a disproportionate over representation in positions of influence.

By the way, it must be very rational to think "in being the people chosen by God", what kind of rationality is that? I wonder if the Jews abandoned that belief when it comes to governing, which is what they do, just as a Christian has to abandon his belief in order to be an engineer, as you say.

the Jews have caused problems in almost every place where they have arrived.

See that is exactly the type of anti-semitism I have been describing. What kind of "problems" are you referring too that weren't just pure fabrications of the Church and anti-semites within?

I have wrote a lenghty post debunking anti-semitism, turns out 80% or more of anti-semitic concepts came from ultra-religious christians:

very biased because your only source is jesusneverexisted.com, which was last updated in 2014. and the site's book only has 21 reviews on amazon. might want to do a more thorough research before you post such opinionated material

There are plenty of other sources, a simple internet search would show it. Many historians and academics also doubt the existence of Jesus, appearing in peer reviewed academic papers:
