RE: What If I Am Wrong!

in #religion8 years ago

I'm still wondering why those who believe would have eternal life and the non-believers not ? At this point, would God be that much vengeful and pitiless ? Or on the contrary, would God not be merciful and inclined to offer another chance ?

Sort:

It's each person's choice to either be with Him or not. By choosing to not believe they are choosing to be separate from God and God allows them to choose eternal separation if that is their wish. He's not going to force you to live with Him forever if you don't want to. Some verses...
From Romans 1: For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

And there is but one way to eternal life:

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

Thank you for the comment, I take notes. I respect the belief in the sacred text, but it's difficult to understand why there would be only one way. I can't believe that God would abandon so many people. There certainly must be several paths that lead to the last one.
