God's Timing Scripture | Waiting on the Lord is Essential

Learning about waiting on the Lord can have an incredible impact on your life to bring you hope, love, peace, joy and purpose. Consider these God's timing Scripture verses to understand God's purpose for your life and when that purpose will bear good fruit in your service to Christ and others.

Psalm 62:5

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

If you know about God's perfect timing you will have a better connection to God and understand that sometimes waiting on God is the best decision.

Once you trust Jesus as your personal savior, you will know that God has a perfect plan for your life.

God's Timing and Plan for Your Life
If you reject God's plan and timing for your life, you will never meet your full purpose and have in your life what God wants for you.

Are you unhappy in your life? Have you tried to get fulfillment from finances, relationships, entertainment or sex and come up short?

Recognizing that God wants what is best for your life in His way to bring you closer to Him and accepting of His Son, Jesus Christ will bring peace, love, hope, joy and absolute fulfillment to your life.

Try asking God in prayer what God wants you to do in your life and in each day.

This connection to God, submitting to His will and timing for your life will bring you the fulfillment in your life that your heart truly desires.

Psalm 27:11-14

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Ask God for Guidance
There are some serious issues you will face in your life that will have the best outcomes if you ask God for guidance.

What God has planned for us is always much better than what we can plan for ourselves including God's plan for you to have eternal life in Heaven with Him.

David had to run from Saul for 14 years, but when the timing was right and David was ready, God made it possible for David to take over as king of Judah.

Waiting for God's timing is essential. His timing and plan are perfect and learning to wait on God for a door to open and an opportunity presented will put you in touch with Him and His purpose for your life.

God knows where you are strong and where you are weak; He knows what blessings you are ready for and He chooses when those blessings come to fruition.

When you rebel against God and try to go your own way or try to get something on sinful terms you are playing with a recipe for disaster in your life.

God loves His children and He wants what is best for them including prosperity and opportunity, but many times we have to wait for God's direction and guidance to realize the full benefit to us and to those we encounter of the blessings of God.

Do You Need A Change of Heart Towards God?
If it seems like God is not moving in your life, He could be waiting on you to change your heart towards Him.

Many times God's plan for you has a lot to do with making sure your heart is right in Him and in His Son, Jesus.

Psalm 37:7-9

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

God is watching over you and His hand is covering you and when you are willing to walk in His way and will, you are the most recipient of His plans for your life and the life of your family.

God has a purpose for your life from beginning to end and His timing will in due time reveal to you what your life's purpose is that is inclusive of your being a servant of Christ and others.

God does not keep secrets from us about our lives, but is willing to show you what is meant for your life if you are willing to listen and accept.

Seek God's Will For Your Life
Psalm 40:1

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Isaiah 64:4

4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

God acts on behalf of those who seek Him and His guidance and will for our lives.

Waiting is very important from God's perspective because it shows our willingness to be obedient to Him.

Walk in His ways and seek Him and wait on Him and you will have in your life every good thing that He has planned for you.

You will be there just in time for every opportunity to serve and benefit from God's blessings for your life if you are walking in the example of the Lord, seeking the Word of God and obeying what you learn.

God Prepares You
For every good thing that comes into your life, God first prepares you to be able to handle it when you are in tune with God's plan and timing for you.

The delay that God makes for in our lives means that He is working in our life to prepare us and guide us and lead us to the privilege of living our lives with His schedule and timing for us.

God is the director of our lives and He will give us what we ask for when the timing is right. Trying to go it alone and against the timing of God leads to folly.

Do not be so insistent on getting what you want in the immediate. That is how the world trains us, but God is not in a big hurry because He sees the beginning and the end and the entirety of our faith and our lives.

God wants us to trust Him and waiting on His blessings in our lives is exercising trust in Him.

God requires us to wait to strengthen our faith and to sift the motivations of our desires and to bring us to an understanding of His viewpoint.

How To Wait On God
How are we to wait on God?

Patiently and Trustingly

Psalm 37:7

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Quietly

Psalm 62:1

1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

Expectantly
Psalm 27:13

13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Steadfastly and Courageously

Psalm 27:14

14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Standing on God's Word

Psalm 130:5

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

You will not wait on God and you will go your own way if the Bible remains closed to you.

Seek God's Word
God continuously reminds us to rely on Him through His Word. Seek His Word to know His perfect timing for your life.

When you are connected with the Father, He will hear your prayers and bring you what you need each day, nothing more and nothing less and to have this connection you have to study His Word daily and weekly at Church.

God is there for us when we seek Him and trust Him in daily communing with Him. It is so well worth our time and effort to know God and His Word in our daily lives.

Seek out a descent Bible teaching Church to attend in your area if you don't already have one to get to know God and His plan and timing for your life.
