Acute Prayer

Satan doesn't want you to see this message because the power of prayer is great. Prayer has the power to and is the only way for you to move the heavens on behalf of those for whom you pray. Prayer has the power to impact those you love as well as your whole country and even the whole world. Intercessory prayer is the battlefield wherewith we join forces with God to bring down the strongholds of the enemy.

James 5:14-18

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.
Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the
elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick,
and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have
committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, that ye may be healed. The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as
we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might
not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the
space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain,
and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Earnest and effectual prayer which comes against the wiles of the wicked one. Fervent prayer that understands the urgent need for intercession. Prayers with only concern for selfish gain have flooded the heavens to no avail.

ACUTE: Severe, Serious, Sharp, Critical, Important,
Dire or Desperate

Acute Prayer that is effectual is desired by God, was demonstrated by Jesus and is directed by the Holy Spirit. Abraham prayed intercessory for Sodom and Gemorrah and asked God not to destroy the righteous. Moses prayed intercessory for the congregation of Israel that God would not destroy them out of His anger.

Intercessory Prayer: Prayer offered to God on behalf
of others in accordance with God's will.

God Looks for Intercessors...

Ezekiel 22:30-31

30 And I sought for a man among them, that should
make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me
for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I
found none.
31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation
upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of
my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon
their heads, saith the Lord God.

God grieves for injustices like exploitation, human trafficking, heavy burdens and oppression. When you see injustice do you pray for intersession or do you leave it all up to God?

Matthew 26:36-42

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called
Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye
here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of
Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding
sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and
watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his
face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be
possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless
not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth
them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye
not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into
temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the
flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed,
saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away
from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Include in your prayers with humility, like Jesus, that you are praying for that which is God's will. Jesus showed obedience even unto death though His prayer that 'this cup pass from me' was not the will of God.

Romans 8:26-28

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is
the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh
intercession for the saints according to the will
of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose.

Jude 20-21

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your
most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for
the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Satan trembles when he sees even the weakest followers of Christ on their knees.
