Honestly, I don't think we can make it in life without prayers especially judging from where I come from. There are so many unseen battles and challenges that prayer can comfortably take care of. Just like you rightly said, the devil doesn't want us to pray because of what we can achieve while communicating with God.

There was a time, I was so sick, that I barely talk or walk, prayers saw me through. Yes, sometimes I get weak and too tired to pray, but it has always been my best weapon in life. It has brought me this far, and I'm not ready to stop praying no matter how hard the devil tries to make me weak.
