WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS!

Hi steemians,blessed evening to you all, am super grateful to all that warmly welcomed me here.

This morning I was going through my notes and I saw a jotting I once did on a talk I listened to by Joel Osteen and I decided to share with you guys.

Joel Osteen is a Senior Pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

He's a motivational speaker and also an author of so many books.

The talk was on "Ways you could improve your relationships".

I would be sharing what I learnt.

Relationship most often refers to a strong, deep, or close association or acquaintance between two or more people.

Many atimes misunderstandings are bound to occur but then having a good knowledge of what is most required of you helps you to save yourself from some unnecessary issues.

POINTS TO TAKE NOTE:

  • There is a need to respect people: This has nothing to do with senior or junior, as a Senior person, you would also need to accord your juniors the respect they deserve, likewise them also.

  • Learn to live a considerate life: You should learn to treat people the same way you would also want to be treated, also even in doing things for people, do it like it's yourself you are doing it for, that way your friends wouldn't feel cheated.

  • Give your friends undivided attention: Every friend would always want a shoulder to lean on, always make out time for your friends and pay close attention to their needs.

  • Study your friends : Knowing the kind of friends you have helps you to know how to follow them and how to perfectly blend with their personalities. Their weakness and the strength, if you are able to understand that aspect of them, then it's easier to have a fun-filled relationship.

  • You have to be willing to sacrifice: Relationship deals with sacrifices alot, you should be able to make some little sacrifices in order to sustain your relationship. And once you have an understanding about this, you would definitely be doing it with love and it wouldn't have to hurt.

  • Know how to talk even in rough times: when you are stressed and not in the mood, don't allow your mood affect your speech also, your body language, tone and facial expression talks more than your speech.

  • Appreciate and value your relationships: Make it a habit to appreciate your friends even over little things, once thing with appreciate is that it can encourage the person and make the person to do more.
