To be fair I actually signed up for the qurator service. :c)
Less-so the sometimes 'annoying' vote-trail that has since begun to tail it. I haven't been bothered enough to see if I can opt out. At least its not, to the best of my knowledge, a fully-automated service and I like to think that they are actually doing some level of curation.
However your point is well-taken. :c)
