I wanted to start something here on SteemIT that is exciting, fun, and delivers great content for people. And I have been noticing some other Hip-Hop artists here on the SteemIT platform....so, i came up with this idea to start doing weekly rap competitions, where i will choose a beat for that week, and any artists that want to participate can drop a verse and post a video of it and myself and my team can judge on who they thought had the best rhymes for that week. What do you guys think?

If you like this idea please support this idea, SteemIT is a great platform for Hip-Hop artists. I want to start this ASAP, right now its TBA until we have at least a few artists.

The Rules

• Each week on Sunday, i will post a new instrumental for participants.
• Download the instrumental and record a video of yourself rapping over it.
• Upload the video to YouTube and post it here on SteemIT
• Use the tag #rapchallenge as the first tag in your post, if you don't your video will not be judged.
• Videos no longer than 1 minute long.
• Raps can be freestyles or written raps.
• DO NOT alter the instrumental in any way.
• Video MUST BE SUBMITTED every Friday by 5PM (UTC-4:00).

Winners will be announced every Sunday before the next contest.

You can be in your car, in your bedroom, in your office it doesn't matter where you record the video. You can use your phone to shoot the video just make sure the video and audio is clear.

Prizes

• 1st place winner = 7.5 SBD + 300 whaleshares
• 2nd place winner = 5 SBD + 200 whaleshares
• 3rd place winner = 2.5 SBD + 100 whaleshares

Remember you MUST use the tag #rapchallenge as the first tag in your post

The prizes will get larger the more SBD that gets donated. I am donating 15 SBD the first week, anyone willing to help or have more ideas for prizes, please let me know

A: I am a Hip-Hop artist and i have gained a decent fan base on some notoriety in the under ground Hip-Hop scene. I've done songs with a lot of names fans of Hip-Hop might recognize like: Chief Kamachi, Ruste Juxx, Carnage The Executioner and more. You can google these names to find out more about these artists, all 3 of them are legends in the underground scene.
