What is Adulting?

Is it doing all the dishes before you go to bed at night, so that they don't stack up?

What about scheduling all of your own appointments, maybe making lists so that you don't forget your appointments?

How about saving part of your paycheck so that you have money to pay your taxes come tax season?

Or is adulting accepting that there are limited resources in the world and that its your job to do whatever you can to ensure the most for you and yours?

Accepting that you made poor choices in life and now have to dance at a club to put diapers on the bastard child that you have to raise by yourself?

Not giving a fuck about the poor saps life you just had unprotected sex with, knowing that you have an STD?

Keeping your mouth shut when you know things are wrong, because you don't want to rock the boat because something doesn't involve you?

Watching idly as everyone around you destroys each others lives, while taking what you can, when you can, occasionally contributing however you can?

Accepting the corruption within the world and figuring out how you can best capitalize off of it without getting caught, or doing it without regard for getting caught, and then with as straight of a poker face as possible denying that you had anything to do with it?

If thats the case I don't want to grow up, I want to be a toys-r-us kid.
