Saturday's Talk

It's Saturday, and I'd like to just quickly talk about two things here in Singapore. Cakes and Cheese.

The life-style cakes as I call them, are getting very fancy these days. Fancy and expensive. Look at these bunnies,pandas and whales cakes.. The whale ones goes for S$6.50 each. Such a tiny cake for such a hefty price.

As cakes innovate and become "arty" and cutesie... Cheese is going the other direction. As small farms can no longer sustain themselves, and land become scarce, its hard to produce the right quality milk for some traditional cheese.

In Singapore these is a restaurant called Cheese Ark, and they are relocating to a new location coming July 2019.

I'm eagerly waiting for my friends Gordon and Vincent to be back to Singapore to go there and munch on cheeses, traditional cheeses.
