Bots and me

Wow...That Flipstar guy is killing it with his last posts

I wish...but if you take a look in my wallet you see that I put quite a bit of SBD in every post and probably in this one, too.

As much in life I am not sure how I feel about the voting bots.

They are useful for....

...making your posts a bit or with deeper pockets even a lot more visible.

...pushing your reputation

...sometimes you can even make a profit if you find a round with not enough bids

On the other hand I feel that so much SP is locked up and only comes out to play if you pay for it. Especially now where you as a normal user can sell your voting power through them.

I do that as well. I have it set to 98% so I dont waste votingpower if I dont have time to curate myself.

In my opinion that is a useful way. Someone wants to promote his post and I don`t waste votingpower by not letting it reach 100% and get some SBD for it.

Win-Win

When I am getting active again I want to curate myself. Support good content and those who support me.

The thing which keeps me hopeful that we don`t see a bot desert here were every vote you get except your own has to be paid for is what people often criticize

People often want a reward back

Meaning you give upvotes to earn upvotes. That does not necessary mean to only upvote whom upvotes you.

No, quite the opposite. Go out there find people you like and create a relationship with them.

How?

Upvotes come to mind

The more SP you have the more your upvote gets notices of course.

There is a point where it becomes more profitable for you to post and engage than just have everything delegated to a bot or on auto sell.

That still means you have to post yourself of course.

I think only a powered up Steem is a good Steem

And I prefer to have it powered up in bots than not at all.

I would prefer it even more if the Steem was not for hire like a mercenary but I am also happy to see that more and more rules get integrated.

Should a bought vote be profitable?

As I see it every 2.4 hours the bidding bots offer a new product. It is up to you and your research (how many people bid this round, what is the value of the vote etc).

Sometimes you can find an extremely profitable round sometimes you loose quite a lot. When it is just for exposure of your post you should not mind either way.

Myself I started to hunt a bit the profitable rounds. A problem I can see is of course to have enough content ready for the bots to vote on, which can produce a lot of shit posts.

I try to keep my low standard

The money which can be made is per round usually pretty small but the bots run 24/7 so it adds up and it takes it toll on the reward pool the community did not really agree on to give as it was bought.

But as I said they will not vote anyway if you don`t pay.

For myself...I think I will keep using them for now but to be honest I would not mind if there would come a change which would make bots a thing of the past.

What are your thought?

I have started using bots and to be honest it kind of feels like we are all sitting around blogging and just voting ourselves up for a few free SP.
Seems a little pointless .... unless of course it does help you get more readers, followers and/or upvoters.
Ill try the bot method for a while but I also hope it eventually becomes a thing of the past.

At the end it is up to us to go out and engage with others. I mean the SP are not free you used your SBD for it to make the bot vote on your post. Soemtimes you would even better be off to just bought Steem with it becuase you make a lost as often too many people bid in one round.

I like blogging here and reading other peoples stuff and I like the idea I can support them and get support from others like a big happy family.

You pay for the SP with your time and effort so it is not really free if you value your time

Yes true, the time is a cost. Happy steemiting @flipstar :-)

Really i have surprised to seen the Headline 'Wow...That Flipstar guy is killing it with his last posts' But after i read the full content, i like "Should a bought vote be profitable?" this para specially @flipstar Upvoted !

Muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ob er Bots einsetzt :-)

Das ist auch irgendwie das schöne an Steemit...es ist doch einiges noch einem selbst überlassen

Das finde ich auch, soll jeder das machen was er will :-)

Awesome never know about these bots now i have got some idea.lot of confusion earlier now iam getting some idea.thanks a lot.

I'm not a bot and i will upvote for you bro :D never used a Bot LOL OK maybe i don't make the same amount of money like all others but who cares. if somone like my shit i'm a happy guy ;) keep going :D Upvotet with my 100%

thx bro :-)

I have to thank Bro! ;)

I love @flipstar's point of view about bot vote, very visionary. But I used to wear bots, now I stop using it. Save of My mind, if I want to use bots for what I create quality content, just one photo object I can continue to buy bots and definitely my posts are visible at any time in trending.

Steemit is a social media, for what I communicate and form a prolonged relationship on this platform, if indeed I can buy votes.

I have a very large community in Indonesia, and if this is made a reference by the novice steemian in my country, then most likely they will all buy bots to show their work to the world, and I think Here is the vote the minnow no longer be a thing valuable.

I do not think it's about money anymore, but how to build an emotional relationship between people. :)

Greeting from Indonesia sir, I see your post in Bali, would like you to visit Aceh? I could be your guide :)

Oea you can contact My friend in Bali @ekavieka if you need some help sir, if you need to explore Bali, he a Baliness and know every beautiful place in Bali, might be help you something if you need sir :)

Thanks :-) I will contact him if I need some guide.

To Aceh I will not make it this trip but maybe next time.

You are right for real growth you need emotianal binding between you and your readers.

My pleasure sir.. I will wait next Journey in Aceh, a little info in june Indonesian Community anniversary and we celebrate in Weh island, hope you can take a trip and be a part of our celebrate Day :D

If you take a trip to Aceh, I would like to pick you up from the airport and lets explore around of our province..

Yup sir, However I would like to do My Best on platform, and My community still always Walking on the track, like you know, we are still war with plagiarisme untill Now, That so Hard to do :D

And I think if plagiarisme take bot vote as them Way to make it awesome plagiarisme unstopable.. :D

Thanks for All sir :)

Mixed feelings about the bots as well, in a way I wish they didn't exist because it adds to the "game", on the other hand, the table is set and you just have to play it the way it is. Isn't too big of a deal in my opinion, are other problems I feel worse about on the platform 🙏🏼

I think other problems are bigger as well but I also feel this can get bigger.

I think everyone decides whether to use bots or not. Sometimes bots are useful, but only if they pay for themselves.

I disagree. Bots are useful for making ones post more visible and with that hopefully create more followers etc.

That doesnt mean it has to pay for itself immeaditly. But is a long term investment in your blog.

honey needs money hahahah epic

Never tried any bots yet they were profitable in earlier months but with the price fluctuation in downtrend currently doesn't seem to be profitable at all

It can be. Let us assume I am a bot and my full vote is worth 100$. Only 2 people bid on my vote this round everyone 1 SBD so both get a 50% vote which is worth 50$.

If the SBD price would drop more within the week as you would get out this way, you would be better off selling the SBD but if not you can make a profit.

It is a gamble soemhow
