"Since 2000, children born in Germany to foreign parents acquire German citizenship at birth in addition to the foreign citizenship of their parents, on the principle of jus soli (Latin for "right of the territory")." If you have read it till the end, you will see that at least one of the parents needs to be a legal resident of Germany for 8 years. I came 2013, my wife 2015, so it is not the case for our son. :)
Hmm, google lied to me.
Hahaha.
Okay.
But you are at least entitled to kindergeld, aren't you?
Yes, like any other resident. But on that, on another post, as I would like to pay less taxes and give up the Kindergeld. :)
