Haunted woods

in qurator •  14 days ago

Given how near Halloween is, decided to use this gloomy photo for this week's @qurator Photo Friday Competition. Although truth be told... there's nothing gloomy about this place. This photo was taken in a nature trail in Madeira Island, called Lagoa do Vento, that ends in a beautiful waterfall.

This part of the trail had a ton of naked wood, and really like the way it looks on a B&W mood. But on the rest of the trail, green is the main colour, in several tones. As most of the trails in the island. There are a few dozens, and the view in all of them is simply stunning.

See? And the luxurious green continues until the very end of the trail... and then, time to contemplate the waterfall, and head back!

I absolutely love that first picture in black and white! The green is lovely as well, of course, but the black and white is moody and a little creepy and simply wonderful!

Thank you for the feedback! I loved this part of the trail :)
