QURATOR'S TASTY TUESDAY # 67 - Making EMPANADA
Good morning food lovers!
Thank you @qurator for this Foodies initiative. I would like to share my entry Empanada! This is a must food in my workplace during Ramadan, breaking the fast.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 KL CHICKEN BREAST
CUMIN POWDER
BLACK PEPPER
CORIANDER POWDER
ONIONS
GARLIC
CARROTS
PARSLEY LEAVES
BELL PEPPER
DOUGH:
6 GLASS 3RD CLASS FLOUR
1 1/2 TEA GLASS OF OIL
1 1/2 GLASS OF WATER
SALT TO TASTE
How to make a perfect dough?
Sift the flour,
Add salt and oil
Mix them thoroughly until oil is evenly distributed to the flour.
Add water gradually.
Cover with cellophane.
Before filling, slice the doughlike a little ball. One kilo will become 60 or 70 pcs. of empanadas.
COOKING THE FILLING INGREDIENTS
Saute garlic until golden brown, add onions
Add boiled grounded chicken breast and cover.
Add vegetable.
Add grounded spices:
Parsley will be the last item to add on the cooked chicken, mix it, cover and stop the fire.
Let's go on filling the dough
Flat the dough using rolling pin.
Add a tablespoon of the filling stuff.
Manually making my own style or as you desires.
Cover this for 10 minutes with clean cellophane for cooking.
How to fry it perfectly
Pre heat a cooking pan with clean vegetables oil. Too hot will not give the best result. The oil must be a little bit warm and then add the stuff. Make sure, it will not stick to each other to avoid the deformation.
DONE AND HAVE YOUR BITE!
