DSC_#17.JPG

This photo was taken in Cambodia at Angkor Wat. The beautiful, ancient temple is the most famous temple in the ruin city of Angkor. The name means "the city of temples" in Khmer, and Angkor Wat was the largest temple in the Khmer kingdom and was built under the rule of King Suryvarman II. It was built as a Hindu shrine for the god Vishnu and imagined the Hindu universe, in the 12th century. A large number of tourists visits every day and you don't have a moment to yourself. This local munk did find a corner to stand and enjoy a quiet moment.
