🍯 5-MIN SUGAR-FREE MANGO PASSION TURMERIC CHIA SEED JAM 🍯
Surprise Surprise.... another mango recipe. Can you tell it is mango season? Mangoes everywhere and every day. Though I love their taste, like every mango season, which lasts pretty long, there is gonna come a time in the very near future mangos are going to be on my no-thanks list till next season.
Too much is too much, right? But before we go into the mango hating phase of the year, I bring you yet another mango recipe we like. Though you can make this with any fruit there is something about the flavor combo of mango, passion fruit, and turmeric.
If you never made chia jam before, let its simplicity and yumminess amaze you. Made in 5 minutes these little jars of sweetness are a must-try. Chia seeds have the magic ability to turn every fruit into a delicious healthy treat without the need for sugar or gelatin.
Though this jam will not last for months or years, one to two weeks tops, it is so easy to make and highly delicious. To be honest, our chia jams never last longer than two to three days lol.
Chia seed jam is yummy on toast or pancakes or why not add some to your morning yogurt or smoothie (bowl). So good! And the best part, it's super healthy too! So don't be afraid to add an extra spoon .... or two.
Oh and before I forget, this is my entry to the Qurator's Tasty Tuesday #73. Are you a foodie too? Definitely check out this lovely weekly steemit contest.
5-MIN SUGAR-FREE MANGO PASSION TURMERIC CHIA SEED JAM
INGREDIENTS (makes about 1.5 to 2 cups)
- 2 cups mango, chunks
- 2 passion fruit
- 3-4 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder or to taste
- Kampt red pepper to taste
- Maple syrup to taste (optional)
FYI: the mangoes I used were sweet enough so I didn't add any sweetener to the jam.

DIRECTIONS
Blend the mango in a food processor or small blender until smooth. Add all the remaining ingredients and pulse until everything is well mixed. Put the jam in a covered container or jar and place in the fridge until jellified.
FYI: this recipe works with almost any other fruit. Experiment with the fruits, herbs, and spices you like. Add a little water if the water content of the fruit you use is too low (like apple jam).
Easy as that......

Dang!! I didnt know it was so easy to make jam. Dandays loves his PB&Js and I already make his peanut butter maybe the natural progression to make his jam too. 😋. Thanks for the recipe @amy-goodrich :)
We love it... You can't keep them to long but then it is so easy to make. Thanks for passing by xxx
that does look so good and you mention it will only last one or two weeks i dont think it would last that long with me, and thats far better than store bought which have crazy long shelf life, thats kind of worrying
Haha... Same here. Too good to last. Homemade is always the better choice... Have a happy and healthy day
Exactly, I never used to think about it, till my wife got her illness, now I am very careful about what we get in the house, and make our own where we can
